e.g. For questions 1–8, read the text below and decide which answer (A, B, C
or D) best fits each gap. There is an example at the beginning (0).

and in the workbook page 23, 24 and 33
This section tests your general knowledge of word forms of verbs, adjectives,
adverbs nouns etc. Revise the course book word formation exercises on pages
24 and 35 and 50
Part 4 Transformations
For questions 1–10, complete the second sentence so that it has a similar
meaning to the first sentence, using the word given. Do not change the word
given. You must use between two and five words, including the word given.
Write the missing words in CAPITAL LETTERS on your answer sheet
Here is an example

UNUSUAL
It’s UNUSUAL FOR ME TO listen to the radio in the evening.
All grammar from units 1,2,3,4 - study pages 204 to 213 well as looking at the
review exercises in the book (at the end of each unit).
Part 5 Vocabulary
For questions 1-20 fill in the gaps using one of the words. There are two extra
words you do not need. Write your answers in CAPITAL LETTERS on the an-
swer sheet.

Reading
Gapped text
You are going to read a magazine article. Six sentences have been removed
from the article. Choose from the sentences A–G the one which fits each gap
(1–6). There is one extra sentence which you do not need to use.
THE WRITING MARK IS SEPARATE FROM THE EXAM. IT IS ONE OF THE SIX
EVALUATED COMPOSITIONS FOR THE COURSE.
