Dependent Variable- the effect, depends on changes Controlled Variable- anything that is held constant, it’s a variable that is not of interest to the study’s aims.
How to identify the dependent variable:

Review of Related Studies and Literature- a comprehensive summary of
previous research on a topic. The literature review surveys scholarly articles, books, and other sources relevant to a particular area of research. The review should enumerate, describe, summarize, objectively evaluate and clarify this previous research. A review of related literature (RRL) is a detailed review of existing literature related to the topic of a thesis or dissertation. In an RRL, you talk about knowledge and findings from existing literature relevant to your topic.
