ELEMENTARY LEVEL
OVERVIEW
In this lesson, the students will focus on the grammar structure of the verb "be" in past simple,
meaning/form/pronunciation. The students are going to drill was/were in different writing tasks such
as filling the gaps and choosing the correct form of the verb. They will listen to the text and analyze
the grammar structure. Students will write sentences using simple past tense and practice it by
speaking.
Content Explain to students that we use the past tense to talk about events
that happened in the past.

Practice Each student passes to the whiteboard and identifies with a
