What is his total distance covered? His displacement? (5 points)

2. Upon reaching at the summit at Balistada Hills located in Doña Remedios Trinidad Bulacan, TJ
observed that he covered an estimation of 1.2 kilometers of distance. Since he is somewhat a
physics enthusiast, he recorded his trails and directions. From the base camp to point A, he
covered 120 meters going north, then they turned 350 meters 250 East of North up to a next
resting camp. After resting and appreciating the beauty of nature, they continued their travel
and went 400 meters going north then turned west at 330 meters reaching the end of the trail.
What is his total displacement? (20 points)

3. Due to some problems experiencing nowadays, you tried wishing that everything will be solved
in a wishing well. You threw a coin to a pit 12 m below ground at 38 m/s. (10 points)
a. Find its max height above ground.
b. At what times is it at ground level?

4. How fast should you throw a chico fruit straight down from 40 m up so that its impact speed
would be the same as a mango’s dropped from 60 m? (10 points)

5. A dune buggy accelerates uniformly at 1.5 m/s2 from rest to 22 m/s. Then the brakes are
applied, and it stops 2.5 s later. Find the total distance traveled. (15 points)
