Questions:
1. Apart from the issues of heterogeneity, business and social change, security and trust, etc.,
identify other problems and challenges that software engineering is likely to face in the 21st
century. Which issue is relatively difficult to control? Explain.
2. Explain the problems that might be faced by an organization if it does not follow any software
process model.
3. Explain why the spiral model is considered to be a Meta model. Compare the relative
advantages of using the waterfall model and the spiral model of software development.
4. Giving reasons for your answer based on the type of system being developed, suggest the most
appropriate generic software process model which might be used as a basis for managing the
development of the following systems:
• An interactive system for airline passengers that might finds airplane times from
terminals installed in airport.
• A library automation system that would link various libraries in the city.
