1. EFFECTIVITY
2. REASON
This Service Letter provides a simple "first level" trouble shooting procedure to be applied in
case of loss or degradation of cooling efficiency of air conditioning system.
The purpose of the procedure is to give general guidelines for trouble shooting. More details
are included in the trouble shooting manual pictures (ref. chap. 21-51 and 21-61).
It is divided in four figures each one consisting of a flow chart with some decision points and
relevant procedures to be applied.
This flow takes into account the system components and the associated electrical circuits.
The verification of electrical wirings can be made referring to the relative TSM and AWD
section and taking into account that electrical failures, particularly open circuits, should be
double-checked at both end of circuit i.e. at component itself, to avoid unjustified rejections
and/or further components damage.
3. DESCRIPTION
A. The figure 100 describes the trouble shooting to perform in order to establish if
loss/degradation of cooling capability appears:
- on ground, in flight or both.
- in auto mode, in manual mode, in both modes.
B. The figures 101, 102 and 103 show the actions to be taken per each case of
loss/degradation of cooling capability in auto mode, manual mode or in both modes.

NOTE: - With engine running and BLEED and PACK selected ON, the ACM is not
correctly operating if the compressor side is not HOT and/or the turbine side is
not COLD.
