Hi, my name is Yasmine and I want to tell you about my Summer

Holiday. My school year finished at the end of July and then the
summer holidays began. School holidays in my country
are six weeks long.
In the first week of summer holidays I went to a
tennis camp! Everyday I played tennis with my
friends and took tennis lessons with the coaches. It
was fun and improved my tennis skills, but I was
really tired by the end of the week.
For the next two weeks I travelled to Italy with my family. It was my
first time flying by aeroplane and I was really scared. At first it was
really scary and I held my mum’s hand tightly, but after a while I felt
more comfortable.
In Italy I spent every day at the beach; swimming
and building sandcastles with my brother. I tried
lots of delicious Italian food. My favourites were
spaghetti carbonara and gelato, which is Italian
ice cream! My parents spent time reading and
sunbathing on the beach.

When we got home from our holiday I remembered I had lots of

summer homework to finish! My dad helped me research and write my
summer homework project about tadpoles and frogs. It took three days
to finish but I think my teacher will give me a good
grade.
During the rest of the summer holiday I
visited my Grandpa, built a treehouse with
my friends and baked cakes with my Aunt. I
also read 6 books from the library!
I really enjoyed my summer holiday. It was
the best summer ever. I can’t wait for the
next school holiday!
