James Hardie Villaboard Specification

Basic Composition
Portland cement, ground sand, cellulose fibre and water Villaboard does not contain
asbestos.

Durability
Hardie;s Villaboard fibre cement sheets are autoclaved, immune to permanent water
damage, will not rot and are unaffected by termites.

Within the normal range of applications the life of the product is limited only by the
durability of the supporting structure and the materials used in the fixing.

Standards
International
Hardie's interal lining boards meet or exceed the requirements of the International
Standards Organization (ISO) draft standard for FIBRE CEMENT FLAT SHEETS,
(ISO/DIS 8336) - July 1991 and ASTM C1186-1991

Australian
Hardie's villaboard is manufactured to conform with Australian Standard AS 2908.2-
1992 Cellulose-Cement Products.

Villaboard has a classification of Type B, Category 2 in accordance with this


Standard.
