Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) of R & D Air

compressors for 2 years period

1.0 Scope of Work: -
1) To carry out Preventive Maintenance checks as per mentioned schedule on Air
compressors and its accessories (up to air dryer unit) as per approved Checklist
and Maintenance Instructions provided by Compressor manufacturer.
2) In case of breakdown, service provider is to depute Service manpower and rectify
the same with in strict time frame. Replacement of faulty parts like all air filters,
Oil, Belts, Valves and other mechanical/ electrical/ instrumentation parts. (Spares
and consumable will be provided to Service provider on the written request basis.)

5.0 General Checklist for Air compressor:-


The checklists are intended for general description of work to be carried out. They
are not intended to cover all minute details. The work shall be executed in
accordance with Manufacturer’s O&M Manuals and modern techniques.
PM checks: -
 Check overall cleanliness of equipments.
 Remove the articles lying near compressor which may cause fire hazard or/ and
chemical hazard etc.

 Cleaning of suction air filter. Replace if it requires.
 Drain condensate from the oil collector.
 Cleaning of filtering panel.
 Cleaning of system from inside and panel maintenance, if requires.
 Checking the quality and quantity of oil. Top up of oil, if oil level is low.
 Replace the oil, if the oil quality is not good.
 Check the condition of oil filter. Replace the oil filters if requires.
 Replace oil separator if oil is coming along with air.
 Tightening of all electrical power connections.
 Checking the condition of V belt. Replacing the V Belt, if belt found damage.
 Checking and re-setting of belt tension.
 Checking the functionality of electrical and instrument parts of components.
 Replace desiccant if air quality is not found okay.
 Replace moisture separator element, if requires.
 Check the refrigerant pressure of refrigerant type moisture separator and fill it if
requires.
 Observe the operation of compressor.
 Checking of control panel parameters.
 Checking the condition of filters of running compressors.
 Check for leakages of oil and air. Attend the leak, if any.
 Checking of any abnormal sound and fault indications.
 Checking integrity and operation of Dryer Unit including logic circuit.
 Recording of various running parameters and vibration of compressors and noting
down in data sheets and check it from maintenance supervisor.
(Condition of components and decision of replacement shall be taken with consultation
of Concern Engineer/Supervisor. Decision of Concern Department Engineer/ Supervisor
is binding.)

6.0 Other Technical Requirements: -


1. Preventive Maintenance (PM) is to be carried out as per maintenance schedule.
2. The job will be taken up only after getting Work permit from control room of
HRTF & NTTF.

3. Filled checklist along with Data sheets (vibration, running parameter of the
compressor at least for 2 hrs.) is to be verified by Departmental Maintenance
Supervisor. After verification of Checklist with carried out job only, PM checks
will be considered as completed.
4. Spares and consumables are to be issued to the service provider with the
written request to Concern Engineer.
5. Tools and tackles requires for handling the component will be provided to the
Service provider on the written request basis. Service provider shall not claim
any delay or compensation due to unavailability of these items, if any. In such
cases Service provider need to arrange the required tools and tackles at his own
cost.
6. Measuring Instruments like Vibration meter, multi-meter, clamp-on meter,
dew point meter will be provided to the Service provider on the written request
basis. Service provider shall not claim any delay or compensation due to
unavailability of these items, if any. In such cases Service provider need to
arrange the required instruments at his own cost.
7. Removed/ worn out parts, cotton waste will be properly segregated and disposed
as per EMS policy.
8. Service provider is to arrange all the safety gears like helmets, air plugs, safety
shoes etc during the maintenance.
9. In case of breakdown, Service provider is to depute service manpower with in 48
hrs. Failing to which, 10% of BM value per day up to max 50% of BM Value
may be deducted.
10. For Breakdown Maintenance, Service provider is to service and operate the
compressor with satisfactory operating parameters with in a week (6 working
days) of reporting.
11. Service provider is to submit the Servicing Report (SR) of completed Breakdown
Maintenance.

General Conditions and Specifications: -


1. Service provider is to arrange the proficient Manpower along with Maintenance
Engineer to carry out the job. Details of manpower (Name, Age, I-card scan

copy in jpg format) are required to be provided to Concern Engineer for
preparation of gate passes.
2. Manpower shall strictly follow the security and safety norms of TMS inside the
premises.
3. Service provider shall take appropriate insurance coverage for the manpower.
4. Accommodation and transportation facility up to TAPS 3&4 Gate will be
arranged by the service provider at his own cost.
5. The electricity and water will be provided at free of cost to the service provider
for general purpose only at TMS site.
