PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING SKILLS

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Managers and Executives need to solve problems and make the right decisions
in order to achieve results. They often have to solve problems with the team and
are often disappointed with the poor quality of ideas developed. The programme
looks at the problem solving process and also at the interpersonal aspects of
problem solving and decision making.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

At the end of the programme, the participants will be able to:

 Analyse problem situations and implement the most appropriate problem

 Use creative problem-solving and decisional processes
 Understand the interpersonal skills required for effective team problem

 Decision analysis
 The thinking pattern for making choices
 The elements of a good choice
 The major elements of decision analysis
 Potential problem analysis
 The technique of potential problem analysis
 Action plans for personal improvement and on going use of the techniques

PROGRAMME METHODOLOGY

Concept briefing, discussions, case study practices and application on job


concerns. The programme will be highly participative at individual and group
levels.

TRAINER PROFILE- elaborate on problem solving and decision making


experience

Dr. Azharudin Hj Akasah 52, Received formal education in the fields of medicine
(USM, LRCP), Sports Science (UNSW, CAHPER) and psychology and law
(Oxford).
Previously employed by the Ministry of Health (1988), Inti College (1992), JVC
(1992-95) and Projass (1995).

Embarked in his own venture practicing his trade in giving sports and
psychological based training programs, event management and psychological
propaganda and advertising consulting since 1996 till now.

His training repertoire is in the fields of sports science, sports marketing, sports
R&D, health and fitness, behaviour coaching and mind tactics. His event
management is focused on exhibitions and sports. His psychological propaganda
and advertising is based on consulting for psychological affect and effect of
advertisements and propaganda.

Collective experienced of 19 years in sports development, health and fitness,


managing events and psychological perception change.
An avid golfer , plays professionally and compete (when time permits) in the
Malaysian Professional Golf Tour (PGM) since 2011 and teaches golf for
beginners since 2005.

He is certified trainer PSMB & Master Trainer “Train The Trainer” program for
PSMB.
