Spur to Spark

1. It shows the old way on how to get a woman’s heart, before, men’s should got to the
woman’s house to sing a song for her and it is called “Harana”. It is one of so many ways
on to ask for a woman’s heart and on how to show their genuine love.
2. In this photo it shows how a Filipino helps one another. “Bayanihan” is one of the
Filipinos culture that is still practice up until now. People will help those people who
needed help, we couldn’t see this practice now but there are still places in the
Philippines that is still using this.
3. “Mano” shows love and respect into the people older than us or it shows respect to our
parents and to our grandparents and also to other relatives. It is first practice in our
house, but not just in our house but also into other people to show respect to them.
4. I believe that in this photo it shows a wedding. It is one of the way that a couple could
done if they are already ready to commit to their partners. Wedding is a very sacrament
ceremony of two people that loves each other. This could be done inside the church and
let other people know that the two person love their partner truly.

1. Three Generations talks about the Chelo Monzon who has a bad childhood that still
haunts him even if he is already old enough. He got mad at his son specially when his
son decided to go to priesthood, as Chelo is still young his father is always bringing
young woman to their house and he is the witnessed of his mothers pain that give him
the anger to his father, as his father gets older and getting more weak he treats him so
bad, it is bad to use women’s as a sex slave but in this story it is normal and that give
Chelo a bad experience to his childhood that haunts him up until he also become a
father.
2. The story represented a culture that makes woman as their sex slave. They treated
woman differently to men, it shoes that a woman should be in the house and do their
jobs as a woman, this represented an uneven treats t people.
3. Yes, seeking for our parents approval is still so important up until now specially if we
now that we are about to make a big decision in our lives. As for that I am just living
with my sister, I still ask her opinion with the decision that I am about to make because I
know that at the very end I would still end up asking her advice so why not ask for her
opinion, it is not a bad thing nut it helps us to have a better understanding on the
decision that we gonna have. It helps us to make the good decision and not regretting at
the very end.
