MODIFICATION INSTRUCTION SHEET No DZ/2-1 Rev A/Cat 1

EQUIPMENT AFFECTED: 19” Integrated (TT250) VisionMaster systems

65920 ANxF, ANxG, ATxF and ATxG.

APPLICATION: At next service.

OBJECT AND METHOD: In all units the ON/OFF switch needs to be replaced with a
new one which has a red rocker switch.

TIME REQUIRED: 30 minutes.

PROCEDURE:

1 Check colour of the ON/OFF switch at front, if the switch has a red rocker the unit will not
require this modification.

2 Switch off radar and isolate from ship's mains supply.

3 Remove the control panel from the front aperture as follows. Gently insert a flat bladed
screwdriver under one of the rear corners of the control panel as shown below. Apply gentle
pressure and lever the control panel upwards. Take care not to damage the paintwork on the
enclosure, as this is often a very tight fit.

4 When there is a sufficient gap between the control panel and the enclosure, pull firmly
upwards from the back edge of the panel. The control panel can now be removed from the
assembly, and placed to one side, but leaving its cables connected.

5 Remove the spade connections to the ON/OFF switch, and using a small flat bladed
screwdriver to apply pressure to the barb and push the switch through to the front. Repeat the
process for the other side.

6 Remove the switch completely from its aperture.

7 Refit the new red switch into the aperture. Ensure the ‘0’ is on the right hand side of the unit
as in the picture below.

8 Connect the purple wire to the outside tag on the ‘0’ side, and connect the orange wire to the
middle tag as shown below.

9 Refit the control panel into position in the front aperture, by slotting the front in, and easing
the back in carefully.

10 Finally check the system is operational.
