How to file tax return

using eBIRForm?
Step 1
Identify what type of taxpayer are you to determine
the applicable and appropriate BIR form to use.

BIR Form 1700 (v2018)


Use this if you earned purely compensation income,
including non-business income, such as passive income
earned which has not been subjected to withholding
taxes (i.e., dividends from Accenture shares).

BIR Form 1701 (v2018)


Use this if you are a mixed income earner, that is, if you
have compensation income and/or are engaged in
business and some form of self-employment.

Step 2
If you are earning purely compensation income,
including non-business income (will file using BIR
Form 1700), proceed with Step 3.

If you are a mixed-income earner (will file using


BIR Form 1701), we encourage you to consult a
personal accountant/tax advisor regarding your
tax filing requirements.

NOTE: Only for those using BIR Form 1700.

Download and access the eBIRForm application


and fill out the required fields.

I. Creating your profile


a. Enter your Tax Identification Number (TIN)
(field no. 3 in 2316 v2018)
b. Enter your RDO Code or Revenue District a b c
Office Code. If you do not know your RDO code,
please contact BIR with the contact details
provided. Do not use the Accenture RDO code. d

c. Enter line of business: Employee

(do not use your Accenture e-mail address)

II. Select the applicable BIR Form
a. From the dropdown list, choose BIR Form 1700 v2018 and click “Fill-up” c. You should receive the notification below
upon submission. Hit the “OK” button.

b. Enter your TIN, confirm your personal e-mail address and hit the “Submit” button.

III. Filling-up BIR Form 1700 v2018
A. Complete Part I – Background Information
of Taxpayer/Filer
Field 1: Calendar Year is 2021
Field 2: Amended Return is NO
Field 6: Taxpayer Type is Employee
Field 9: Enter your Date of Birth

Field 11: Enter your Citizenship
Field 12: Choose 6
• Yes, if you are claiming foreign tax credits on
foreign-sourced income such as dividend
from Accenture plc shares.
• No, if none

Field 15: Select applicable Civil Status
Field 16: If married, tick YES or NO, 11 12
whichever is applicable 15
Field 17: Choose 16 17
• Joint filing, for consolidated tax filing.
Then, complete step (B).
• Separate filing, if spouse will file separate
tax return. Then, skip step (B).

B. Complete PART II – Background Information on Spouse

C. Complete Part VI – Schedules


a. Tick Taxpayer
b. Enter Name and TIN of your employer/s
(field nos. 12 & 13 in 2316 v2018),
see below example a

amount (field no. 19 in 2316 v2018)

indicated in the Schedule 1, continue to fill-up Line
Items 2 to 4, as applicable (refer to your BIR Form
2316 from your previous employer)

D. Complete Part V – Computation of Tax


a. Field 43: Enter your Total Nontaxable
Compensation Income (field no. 20 in 2316 v2018)
b. Field 45: Enter your Other Taxable Income [Foreign
Cash Dividend] denominated in Philippine peso

[Withholding Tax Deduction from Foreign

E. Complete Part III – Total Tax Payable


Verify the total amounts of tax due, tax credits,
and tax payable that you need to pay

IV. Validation and Submission
Click “Save”, then “Validate.”

You will receive the notification below once


validated, then hit the “OK” button.

Make sure to check if the details are correct.


Once done, click “Submit/Final Copy” for your
form to be submitted. Then hit the “OK” button.

Once submission is verified, you will see the
notification below.
Click “OK” and check your email for the BIR
Tax Return Receipt Confirmation. This will
serve as your proof of filing.
