America helps promote Vietnam energy industry

Today, usaid and moit organized an event to sum up -> summarize the V-leep sponsored by uasaid
Through vleep, moit and usaid has cooperated to enhance Vietnam capacity in building->
developing long-term energy strategies, mobilizing private investment in/for renewable energy industry
and improving the compliance with the regulations on industrial energy efficiency.
American provisional representative in Vietnam CK addressed at the event “ we highly appreciate
the close/strong/tight/ relations/relationship between moit and vleep of usaid in the past 5 years. We
thank/are greateful, thankful moit for the leadership, direction, and commitment towards/in renewable
energy industry not just in words, but through real actions
“The growth of solar electricity in Vietnam is encouraging/inspring. Vietnam now is a leading
country in renewable energy in sea. That the private sector has contributed to/ has driven most->much
of the growth demonstrates strong support of the Vietnam Government for the development led by
private sector.
Vleep has contributed to mobilizing 311m usd to successfully develop 300mw wind power and solar
power project through/from 6 projects invested by private sector. Thank to the renewable energy
projects and energy saved by many energy efficiency improvement solutions, Vleep has played a hand in
reducing the emission by 730 000 greenhouse gas, equivalent to/or the equivalent of 365482807 kg coal
Vleep also coordinated with moit to technically support/give, provide a technical support to Vietnam
development of future grid and pdp 8 (the draft was recently published on website by moit for public
comments/commenting ); assit with the formulation of Pilot direct power purchase agreement
development
Usaid will continue to promote the project ‘s success/ maintain the momentum and
further/deepen/strengthen/ enhance partnership with moit through a new project – v-leep II. In the
next 5 years, V-leep II will support Vietnam in its transition transforming to clean, secure, market-based
energy through promoting/increase implementation/deployment of advanced energy system,
improving/enhance the energy industry efficiency/performance and intensify the
competitiveness/competition in the industry
