 MENOREH HILLS
The Menoreh Hills was known as the hideout of Prince Diponegoro’s
troops during the war against the Dutch. After the war, the Dutch
administration used the hill to grow coffee and until now, coffee is still
a commodity of the area. The hills area geomorphologically has a
complex landform. The complex physical condition of the Menoreh
Hills area is the existence of endogenic and exogenic processes that
act on various rocks to form the landscape that exists today. Stretching
from Kulon Progo Regency to Purworejo Regency and partly to
Magelang Regency in Central Java, The Menoreh Hills are a tourist destination offering hundreds of nature-based
activities. Here, you can find fruit plantations, ranging from durian to mangosteen. During the various harvest
seasons, villagers often open their gardens for tourist to visit.

BOROBUDUR
Just a few steps from the hotel you can visit one of the largest Buddhist
temples in the world - Borobudur. According to the archaeological
findings, Borobudur was built in the 9th century, and after the decline
of the Hindu kingdoms in Java in the 14th century, it was rebuilt. The
worldwide knowledge of its existence was triggered in 1814 by Sir
Thomas Stamford Raffles, the then British ruler of Java, who was
informed about its location by local Indonesians. Borobudur has since
been preserved through several restoration projects. The largest
restoration project was carried out between 1975 and 1982 by the Indonesian government and UNESCO, after which
the monument was included in the World Heritage List UNESCO. Borobudur is one of Indonesia's most iconic tourist
destinations, reflecting the country's rich cultural heritage and majestic history.
