I. Introduction (Time Frame: DAY 1, 1 Hour)
In this lesson, it aims you to prepare in identifying the tools, equipment and paraphernalia used in Front Office
Services.

Choosing, upgrading and having the right set of tools and equipment should be a standard at a company
nowadays, sadly, there are companies and workplaces failed to do so. That is why untoward incident happens most of time.
This week’s lesson will help you to choose the right kind of tools, equipment, and paraphernalia for a specific job.

Complete set of tools, equipments, and paraphernalia plays a vital role in Front Office Services. The flow of
transactions will be smooth with less or minor mistakes. It will also ensure high performance of both the employee and the
company. Tools and equipment may also extend its lifespan if an individual knows the right tool or equipment to be used for
a specific task.

At home, we can’t deny the fact of the impact of tools, equipment, and paraphernalia. Almost all of the activities
at home involve different tools and equipment. At present, we are in the midst of a pandemic, students are forced to study
at home. Different communication gadgets in any brand, unit, color and so on are very important.

That is why it is important to a company and employees as well to be aware of the types and classification of
different tools, equipment and paraphernalia. Using or bare hands will not help us to finish a task, we need the help of several
tools and equipment to finish the job well.
Here are some of the vocabulary words that you will encounter along the lesson.
1. Tool- any instrument that you hold in your hands to do a specific task manually.
2. Equipment- it comes in bulky and heavy in weight, it is used to perform a particular task with the use of electricity.
3. Paraphernalia- miscellaneous, consumable and replaceable articles.
4. Type- it is a category of things that has the same characteristics.
5. Function- it refers to a purpose or use of a tool or equipment.
