Taft’s Kindergarten Supply List

Welcome to Kindergarten! We are so excited to begin a new school year with you. The
following is a list of supplies that students will use throughout the year. Things will look a little
different this year. Instead of community supplies, we will have each child have their own box
of supplies. The extra supplies that you will send in will be stored in our classroom and I will
refresh your child’s supplies as needed. You may choose to label your child’s things with their
first name if you would like. Donations of the following items would be appreciated:

EVERYONE:
1 plastic pencil box (8”x 5” size please) – BLUE for morning and GREEN for
afternoon, if possible
3 Jumbo-sized glue sticks
4 packs of Crayola regular crayons (24 pack)
3 EXPO dry erase markers: black, fat-sized
2 black Sharpie permanent markers, regular size
1 Elmer’s white, school glue, 4oz
1 pair of child-sized scissors
AM Students: 1 Ten-Pack Crayola Washable Markers, Regular
Sized
1 box of quart size Ziploc bags
PM Students: 3 EXPO dry erase markers: colorful, fat-sized
1 box of gallon size Ziploc bags

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Label your child’s pencil box with their FIRST NAME ONLY on every side
of the box using a permanent marker:

2. Put 1 glue stick, 1 pack of crayons, 1 black Expo marker, 1 black Sharpie, the
Elmer’s glue, and scissors in your child’s box.
3. Place all of the other supplies in a grocery bag.
 4. Send the packed box and grocery bag of supplies to school ASAP, preferably
at your testing appointment or on the first day of school at the latest.

Notice: The items on this list will be used during the regular school day. They may be brought
from home on a voluntary basis, otherwise, they will be furnished by the school.
