Analysis:

Abstraction
Mobile Devices—or handheld computer. It is a computer small enough to hold in
a hand.
Non-mobile Devices—defined as a large screen device such as traditional
desktop or laptop computer. These are the devices are not portable and usually have a
monitor, keyboard, and a mouse.

Abstraction
All these risks can nevertheless be mitigated if children and young adults are
equipped not only with ICT fundamentals, but also with ICT-related life skills (Meleisea,
2016)
What are these ICT-related skills? According to Park (2016), it is important for
children to acquire “digital citizenship” in order to thrive in the digital age.
8 Digital Life Skills
1. Digital Citizen Identity—“…the ability to build and manage a healthy identity
online and offline with integrity.”
2. Screen Time Management—“…the ability to manage one’s screen time,
multitasking, and one’s engagement in online games and social media with self-
control.”
3. Cyberbullying Management—“…the ability to detect the situations of
cyberbullying and handle them wisely.”
4. Cybersecurity Management—“the ability to protect one’s data by creating strong
passwords and to manage various cyberattacks.”
5. Privacy Management—“the ability to handle with discretion all personal
information shared online to protect one’s and other’s privacy.”
6. Critical Thinking—“the ability to distinguish between true and false information,
good and harmful content, and trustworthy and questionable contact online.”
7. Digital Footprints—“the ability to understand the nature of digital footprints and
their real-life consequences and to manage then responsibly.”
8. Digital Empathy—“the ability to show empathy towards one’s own and other’s
needs and feelings online.”
Application
Group the learners heterogeneously to ensure a balance of skill and ability
levels, while being able to support both exceptional and struggling learners.
A small learning group of 3 members will enable each learner to have enough
opportunities for cooperative learning.
Have learning groups use the internet and search for images showing digital
skills. Download the picture and send it in the group chat. Print the picture. In
your group, talk about the meaning of the image you have chosen.
Choose a reporter of the group and present your output.

Abstraction
Features of Mobile Devices
Mobile ICTs are technologies that are portable or small enough to be carried around
in order to access information and engage in communication. Although the term
“technologies” may also include applications and services, particularly important to this
lesson are mobile ICTs or devices in the form of gadgets, such as “smartphones, game
consoles, digital cameras, media players, netbooks, in-car satellite navigation and handheld
computers” (Taxler, 2010).
Mobile ICTs have a pot of applications that made many things possible at the tip of
your fingers.
1. Call –mobile phones made your connection possible anytime and anywhere.
2. Messages—application from your mobile phones that access you to send and receiving
messages
3. App Store—an application used for downloading applications, games, and videos
4. Google App—an application allows the user to browse sites and links
5. Youtube—an application that allows to watch, download and upload videos
6. Gmail—an application/site for sending and receiving emails
7. Facebook—an application used for business, friendship, posting, blogs, vlogs, ads, etc.
8. Music—an app for listening music
9. Videos—used to record, play, and documents in video form
10. Photos—an app for saving/viewing photos
11. Camera—used to capture moments, events and more.
Application
Group the learners heterogeneously to ensure a balance of skill and ability

opportunities for cooperative learning.
Choose a social media site. Look for a place inside the school that would fit to
your liking. Make a video, picture, collaboration or solo act about ALS that will
represent your group. Post it.

Abstraction
Types of Online Frauds:
Phishing—the fraudulent practice of sending emails purporting to be from
reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information,
such as passwords and credit card numbers.
Cyber awareness—refers to the level of awareness and understanding end users have about
cybersecurity best practices and the cyber threats that their networks or organizations face
every day.
Mobile Etiquette—a safe and risk-free use of mobile devices. Management of privacy,
respect for copyright and intellectual copy rights are some of the good practices that we
can do while browsing and posting the internet sites.
