The school dress code has become an increasingly common policy in many communities

worldwide. Typically, a person's first impression is determined by how they are dressed. a
clever, well-groomed individual and neat clothing could give the audience a nice impression of
you. thus, the physical of Students' outer look in some way reflects their internal values, which
ultimately shapes how they are perceived at university. A professional dress code is enforced at
the University of Batangas' college of nursing and midwifery to uphold the dignity of the
medical community and foster patients' respect, peace, and trust specially during their clinical
duty . Dress code is a set of rules or guidelines specifying the correct manner of dress while on
the premises of an institution and sometimes specifying what manner of dress are prohibited .

The findings of this study will be used as a foundation for understanding the knowledge and
attitudes of nursing students regarding the College of Nursing and Midwifery (CNM) dress code
policy as stated in the students manual . This will provide the authorities the ability to create
methods that will improve student adherence to rules and regulations and ensure that they are
being enforced.
