Welcome to Rolls-Royce – and

some incredibly innovative
engineering powered by the
art of STEM

It’s amazing what you can achieve when you combine

Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths with a
burst of creativity and a splash of smart thinking.

At Rolls-Royce, our engineering triumphs simply

wouldn’t be possible without these subjects.
The products we make are the result of lots of careful
scientific, technological and mathematical thinking
combined with engineering genius and some real
artistry. In fact, a lot of the people who work for us
don’t think of our products as products at all –
they say they’re like works of art.

than the Trent 800, which entered service in 1996. At take-off, each of its fan blades carries
a load of 90 tons – that’s like hanging nine London buses from the tip of each blade!
