TROUBLESHOOTING
The following steps will typically resolve installation errors:
1. Restart your computer or shut down your Microsoft programs
completely and then reopen. This will ensure that the font cache is
updated.

2. (Mac users) When installing the fonts, do not highlight and drag the
files into the font book all at once. Instead, click each font file and
download the fonts individually.

3. If the fonts appear in your font book but will not appear in your
Microsoft programs, you may need to transfer them into the Microsoft
Office Compatible list. Open font book and highlight the custom fonts.
Drag them into the folder labeled “Microsoft Office Compatible.” Then
restart your computer so the font cache updates. This should hopefully
help the program recognize the fonts.

I recommend using the Happy Planner discs to
assemble your font guide. You can purchase the discs
in size small, medium, or large depending on the
number of pages you want to include. The medium
size will accommodate all of the pages included in this
guide. The Happy Planner discs and 11-hole punch
allow you to insert or remove pages easily. Pages can
be pressed into place or pulled from the rings without
tearing any pages. This way, as more fonts are added
to your collection, simply print new pages and add
them to your font guide. For durability, laminate the
cover pages and dividers.

D I V I D E R S A N D TA B S
Divider pages and tabs are included so you can
organize your font guide and create easy access to
design tips and font samples. Two versions of tabs are
included. Option one includes 2 inch tabs that fit the
clear self-adhesive tabs found HERE. Option 2
includes tabs that can be cut and glued to the back of
any divider page.

As additional fonts are added to the AG Font Collection, new

guide pages will be added to this download.

In the example above, the letters V and A appear to be spaced farther apart than the other
letters in the word vacation. The similar angles in both letters distort the visual spacing and
should be adjusted. There are two ways to accomplish a more evenly spaced aesthetic:

1. Highlight the pair of letters that need to be adjusted.

2. Select “Format” from the list of drop down menus on the top of the screen. Then
select “Font.” OR select the letter spacing icon located on the menu bar. Look for the
AV icon with an arrow near the other font editing options. Once the AV icon is
selected, choose “More Spacing”

3. A ”Font” window will open. Make sure “Character Spacing” is

highlighted. Then select an option from the drop down menu
titled “Spacing.” Select ”condensed” to space letters closer
together or “expanded” to space letters farther apart. Adjust
the amount of spacing by increasing or decreasing the
number next to “points.”

4. Select OK. Repeat steps 1 – 3 if letters need additional adjustments.

Expanded letter spacing is an easy way to create a modern design. It also helps with the
