"Has the internet brought us together or driven us apart"

The internet is surely a huge breakthrough in modern society. It gives us many options
how to manage with our free time, find interesting or even important information and of
course it brought us a brand-new way to socialize. But is it the best way to communicate?
It is easy, fast and it does cost you barely nothing, but with the option of creating an
account, you may exist there as a completely different person. Therefore, you are
tempted to communicate differently than you probably would in real life. And that is a
huge problem, I suppose. The idea of internet communication creates a latent barrier
through which you can operate, mainly because of the feeling, that you can always log
off or just stop texting or lie to get the best resolution from whatever situation. That is
why people find this mean of communication way easier and they slowly start to
dissocialize in real life. You have to face the consequences in eye to eye conversation. The
braver we get on the internet, the shier we are in real world.
