1. PICTURE MATCHING: JOBS VOCABULARY

We have learned before vocabulary about the different types of jobs that every person has
around the world. Now it’s time for you to keep learning about jobs vocabulary.

For this activity, you will have to look at the words inside the box and match them with the
pictures below. This is called picture matching. Write down your answers, check them, and

2. GAP FILL: JOBS VOCABULARY

For this activity, you will have to read the sentences below and write the name of a job to
complete them. This is called gap fill. Please write down your answers, check them, and please

1. A _doctor__ and a ___nurse__ work in a hospital or clinic and take care of you when
you are ill.
2. An _engineers_ designs and builds large buildings or bridges.
3. A _cleaner_ keeps an office, school, or hotel clean and tidy.
4. Someone who works in a school classroom and helps students is called a _teacher_.
5. A person who works in a court and can help people on trial is called a _lawyer__.
6. Someone who cuts and styles your hair to make it look good is called a _hairdresser_.
7. Someone who helps you in a shop when you want to buy something is called a _shop
assistant_.

9. A _receptionist_ works at the front desk of a building and welcomes visitors and
answers the phone.
10. An _office worker_ works for a company and usually uses a computer and phone.
