    He was born in 1572 in Alkmaar.
    He was an inventor, a member of a
    submarine’s crew, a chemist, a drawing
    and an
    engineer.
    What is the submarine?
    A submarine (or sub) is a watercraft that
    can dive under the water, and we can
    travel under the sea, but it is use by the
    army.This invention
    is very important because it helped us
    to explore under the sea.
    The evolution
    First, the submarines were made of
    wood.
    Later, they began to made of metal, and
    finally
    they were made of iron.
    Before this invention…
    Before this invention we did not know the
    bottom of the sea, and we couldn’t go
    swimming there.
    Influence of his work in our society.

    The influence is that now, we know


    almost all the things that are inside the
    sea without getting wet.
