I. The company’s career website which I chose for this journal is AMAZON
CAREER.

This is the visual representation of the amazon career website which depicts
the interface of amazon careers.

II. I selected Amazon career website due to plethora of reasons. Some of the
reasons are:
 If anyone is choosing Recruitment Company because of their brand name
then as per my perception Amazon has the best name in the market. The
brand name has the lot of value for employees.
 Once company conducted the survey to their employees to know the quality
of work in Amazon. Around 20% of people believe that working in amazon
is good to go.
 Amazon is for those people who are willing to grow and as per their survey,
employees stated that Amazon offers salary as per market or industry
standards.
 Amazon has best work life balance and staff working there states that they
only increase hours of working in case of emergency otherwise they have so
much flexible hours. (kaushik, 2021)

III. Amazon career website have many salient features and some of them are:

 Amazon career website has very clear identity and for such a big company
it should be very important to keep their identity crystal clear. This will help
to build more traffic on their website and will let people to recognize brand
very easily.
 I have seen in many companies that they usually forget to insert their
contact information and people do not get correct contact details to
communicate with them properly. Amazon has provided contact information
along with their respective mail sites.
 Nowadays, people rely mainly on feedback of others and Amazon career
website has provided many testimonials which help them as their one of the
biggest marketing tool.
 On career website it is important that they have good content which should
be easily conveyed to their audience and Amazon website has done all the
things very clearly. In other words, it should be in simple words and with
correct grammar.
 It is important for a client to find what they are searching for. Amazon is
easy to use and understandable that anyone can access to it and easily
navigate anywhere he wants. (essential features of good website, 2020)

IV. If I see from the perspective of Job Seeker, I like many things about this
website. Some of them are:
 This website provides all the information as crystal clear so that anyone who
comes to website should not find it difficult to use. Navigation is simple and
anyone can access to any thing easily without any kind of disturbance.
 Amazon careers provide jobs even to fresher so that they can gain
experience from the billion dollar company which would apparently help
them in their future dream projects.
 If any doubt arises in the mind of people regarding jobs then Amazon has
provided various testimonials of various employees who have joined
Amazon and now are at such big level of the company.
 Amazon career website has a mobile friendly design as nowadays people
have smartphones and do access on those. So amazon has provided easy
mobile friendly design to its users so that they can access easily.
 Amazon website has a major benefit of FAQ page in which every single
query that people arise has solution of it. Here anyone can found additional
information about their jobs. A good FAQ page is one which should satisfy
100% of their employees. (admin, 2019)

V. Apart from the benefits of Amazon career websites; there are many
disadvantages too which affect the business on large scale basis. Some of the
major disadvantages are:
 Proper screening is not done on website which results to allowing
unqualified candidates to apply for the jobs. This will result to take more
time consuming process even for recruiter. This can be reduced if proper
screening of credentials should be done on good basis.
 Some of the jobs to find are time consuming as some people do not match
with the requirements of the jobs and it results to be the much time
consuming process. This can be reduced if prescreening of credentials is
done and website should show the respective jobs.
 One of the major downside is that there is a lot of competition present on the
website. Everyone is applying to the same job and our file is buried under
the mountain of various applications.
