Principles of balance

1- Size and shape of base of support


The larger the base of support the greater the stability.
2- Height of COG in relation to base of support
The lower the COG, the greater the stability.
3- The relation of line of gravity and base of support
The closer the line of gravity to the center of base of support, the greater
the stability.
4-Friction
The more the friction force (rough surface), the more the stability.
