V10 software registration

ASSL
Software Licence
and licensing (mandatory)
Troikas ASSL software registration is handled through a ‘file handshaking’ process, which
currently requires the use of a USB flash drive. The reason for enforcing the USB flash drive
usage is that it is evident that most users do not have access to direct email facilities on their
AniCAM PCs and to make the process easier to follow. If no USB flash drive is present, the
registration/ licencing windows will prompt the user to insert one.

Registration
Upon opening the video window, unregis-
tered devices will prompt the left dialog for
registration.
The center fields in the form are already filled
with the product name, dongle ID, serial
number and date.

Fill in the form!

Once the required text has been entered,

click the Show Licence Agreement button.
It opens the end-user licence agreement in
your web-browser.

If you agree to the terms please close your

web browser, enable the I accept the
agreement checkbox and click the Register
button. This will create a Request file.

After a Request file has been created by the

software, the Licensing - USB window appears.
It allows you to view the request file and
where the file has been saved (in our example
on the USB flash drive in Drive E).
This file should be emailed to
licensing@troika-systems.com.
Click the OK button to confirm the window.

The Troika team will process your REQUEST file and email back a RESPONSE file, which should be saved back on to your USB
flash drive.
Insert the USB flash drive into your AniCAM PC and either enable the AniCAM video window or navigate to the Options\Set-
tings\Advanced section to automatically import the Response file.

Once the Response File has been imported

the system promps a corresponding message-

licensing details
To view your Licensing and Registration details,
navigate to Options\Settings\Advanced.

This window shows the Registration details

as well as the licence details at the bottom.
In our example the Licence is Valid, starts on
05.04.2019 and is valid for 12 months.

Duration
Licences are specified in months, with all
months being deemed to have 31 days. This
means that a 12 months licence will expire af-
ter 372 days.
The button New Licence is used for creating
a new licence or renewing the existing licence.

You will be presented with an expiry warning
when your Run count gets down to 10 or
below.

Expiry process
Warning messages will be provided when your
licence is due to expire in the next week.

Expired Licence behaviour

An expired licence does not mean that the
AniCAM / SurfaceCAM cannot be used, but
it does add a 15 second delay upon clicking the
snap or 3d scan buttons

The Demo Code button generates a demo

code Request file which is handled in the
same manner as the Registration/Licensing
file handshaking process.
This file must be emailed to licensing@
troika-systems.com and Troika responds
accordingly.

The Classic Mode button takes you to

the old Settings\Advanced window. Both
methods can be used to administrate demo
codes.

Grace period prior to licensing

The AniCAM can (until a licence is applied) be used temporarily without a licence; once you begin using your AniCAM it will ena-
ble a temporary licence which can be used for up to 100 ‘runs’. Enabling the video window counts as 1 ‘run’.

‘About’ box change

A new ‘Show License Agreement’ button is
now visible in the Help\About window.

Clicking this button will redisplay the EULA

(End-User-Licence Agreement) file in the users
default web browser
