Portfolio Part 3 – Individual Assessment

Due 11:59pm Monday 12 June 2023

This portfolio submission includes work from workshops 8, 9, 10 and 11. The specific parts to be
included are listed on page 2.

This assessment involves academic writing. Academic writing entails demonstrating your
comprehension and understanding. This means all answers must be in your own words, and any ideas
or knowledge you have used must be properly referenced using the APA style of referencing (Author-
Date style, do not use numeric referencing styles). A reference list is to be included at the end of the
document listing only those references cited within your text – it is highly recommended to use a
referencing tool.

This is an individual assessment. Collaboration with other students is not acceptable.

Instructions:
• The name of the file you submit must be your Surname_studentNumber.docx. For a student
called Jen Jones, with student number 12121212, the name of the file to be submitted must
be Jones_12121212.docx (the filename should also be used as the Turnitin submission title).
• The document must have a professional look, ensuring all instructions have been followed. The
formatting of your document must be consistent throughout. Header and footer should be
used; the subject code and subject name should be placed in the header, and the footer should
contain the page number and the total number of pages in the document.
• Font: 12pt, Arial, Black, 1.15 line spacing for body text. Any headers are to be additional
increments of this font of your choosing.
• All answers must be clearly labelled using the question number (including parts a, b, c, etc if
the question has multiple parts). Do not include the question text. If an answer is not clearly
labelled with the question number (and part, if applicable) it corresponds to, zero (0) marks
will be given for that answer. If the question text is included, deductions will apply.
• Only include answers to the questions listed on page 2.
• Ensure you follow all the instructions provided for each question in the workshop question
documents.
• Use the Academic Integrity Checklist to check that your work on this assessment has been done
within academic integrity expectations:
o https://www.westernsydney.edu.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/1179045/Academic
_integrity_checklist.pdf
• Use the Turnitin Test Link to check your document before submission. Check every highlight in
the similarity report and ensure you follow the instructions given in lectures; if there are
highlights within the answers, ensure you rewrite any highlighted sections. If the highlights are
only in the list of references at the end of the document, don’t make any changes.

See page 2 for how to structure your document and which questions to include answers to.
