SEA INTERNAL ELIMINATIONS 🐯
1. GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The Ateneo Film Circle (AFC) and Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral ng Sining at
Komunikasyon (SINIKOM), supervised by the Ateneo Culture and Arts (ACAC) will
hold MUGNA (MINDANAWON UG NASUDNONG ADBUKASIYA): A Vlog Fest and
Competition on February 26, 2021 via Zoom and Facebook Livestreaming. The
Competition aims to:

a. promote vlog as an art form;

b. uphold artistic excellence in vlogging;
c. appreciate the cultures of Mindanao and influence others to do the same;
d. stress the importance of the Competition in raising the content creators’
consciousness on the value of artistic excellence and advocacy;
e. address societal issues through content making and vlogging; and
f. provide opportunities for vlogger-participants to explore and maximize their
true potential.

2.1 GUIDELINES:
a. The MUGNA: A Vlog Fest and Competition is open to maximum of 3 bona fide
Higher Education Community students of the participating Cluster of A.Y. 2020-
2021.
b. Any MUGNA-related concern will either be addressed to Fiery Majadas, AFC
President or Carl Maglinte, SINIKOM President.
c. The theme of this year’s MUGNA is Elevating Media Information Literacy (MIL)
in the New Normal.
d. No registration fees will be charged to the participants of the Competition.
e. screener copies of entries must be submitted in H.264 (.mp4) format entry.
f. Registration and submission of the vlogs must be completed by February 19,
2020, Friday at 9:00 PM.
g. Entries should have been made on or beyond January 2020.
2.2 GUIDELINES:

h. Must not have any explicit content.
i. Must not contain any defamatory, libelous, and scandalous scenes that may intrude
the privacy of others.
j. The entry can be in English, Sebuano, Filipino or mix of any Philippine dialects.
However, it should be subtitled to English if Philippine dialects were used.
k. Once the videos are submitted, they may not be shared online for the duration of the
selection process of finalists.
l. Participants for the Vlog Fest and Competition must follow all the guidelines made by
the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).
m. The Organizing Committee will not be liable for any loss, damage, property, or harm
that may befall the participants during the production of the video.
n. The Organizing Committee reserve the right to disqualify any entry that violates the
guidelines stipulated.
o. Entries of the Organizing Committee, current officers and committee heads of AFC
and SINIKOM will immediately be disqualified.

2.3 GUIDELINES:
p. All video entries shall remain the property of the director or any cast after 2 years. All
video entries shall be the property of AFC and SINIKOM for two years and will have
the right to screen it for future references without further consent from the owner.
q. All music and external companies included in the entries should have the proper
acknowledgement.
r. Late entries will correspond to a 1-point deduction a day from the total garnered
scores.
s. Failure to comply with any of the foregoing guidelines will result to
DISQUALIFICATION.
t. Judging will be made through “Averaging System.”
u. The winners will be announced and posted at the prize-giving ceremony on 26
February 2020 via Facebook Live on the Facebook page of Ateneo Culture and Arts
Cluster.
v. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.

4. GUIDELINES FOR FINAL SCREENING:
1. The films will be judged by a panel of three (3) judges consisting of either
vloggers, content creators or other production staff with insightful years’
experience in vlogging. They are selected by the Competition Organizing
Committee.
2. The People’s Choice Award will be done via Facebook Page of ACAC based
on the number of reactions in a given set schedule.
3. All teasers will be uploaded on the Twitter account of ACAC, which will be
prescreened by the panel of judges.
4. The judges’ decision is final and not appealable.
5. The judges reserve the right not to give awards should no entry merit it.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO THE COURSE REPRESENTATIVES
1. You may send as many entries as you can. Courses may also collaborate
with each other as long as the number of participants will not exceed the
maximum.
2. There could only be a maximum of 3 participants per entry. They should
provide a team name.
3. Have your participants fill up the google form on January 20-25, 2021:

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO THE PARTICIPANTS:
1. Take behind the scenes videos of your preparation and production for the validity of
your entry.
2. Make sure to abide by the IATF Rules and Regulations regarding the COVID-19
situation.

4. Deadline of submission: February 12, 2020
5. You may start working on your vlog entry as soon as you are added to the FOE-SEA
facebook messenger group chat. You will only be added after you fill out the google
form.
6. Submit the requirements to the provided google drive to retain good quality output.
There will be folders provided for each TEAM under their corresponding Course Folder.
Please follow the file names stated in “3. FIVE (5) Entry Requirements.”
