The Purpose of Proficiency Test

To measure what knowledge and skills the students have got through English
and Mandarin courses at IPEKA Christian Schools.
Mandarin Proficiency Tests

● Grade 5 → YCT 2 (Listening, Reading) → 60 minutes → 150 words

● Grade 8 → HSK 2 (Listening, Reading) → 60 minutes → 300 words
● Grade 11 → HSK 3 (Listening, Reading, Writing) → 90 minutes → 600 words
● Via Google Form
● Can be done using Chromebook or own devices or in the Computer Lab
Mandarin Proficiency Tests

Week 1 - 2 April 2023

● Grade 5: YCT 2: 14 April 2023 - might need to use the lab

● Grade 8: HSK 2: 17 April 2023
● Grade 11: HSK 3: 18 April 2023
English Proficiency Tests

In collaboration with Pearson English.

● Grade 6 → Benchmark Level 6 (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing)

● Grade 9 → Level Test B2 - 3 Skills (Listening, Reading, Writing)
● Grade 12 → Level Test C - 3 Skills (Listening, Reading, Writing)
● Duration: 60 - 90 minutes
● Support from Pearson CNL
● Need to be done in the Computer Lab

● Grade 6: Pearson Benchmark Test Level 6: 5 May 2023 (week 1-2)

● Grade 9: Pearson Level Test B2: 23 February 2023 (week 3-4)
● Grade 12: Pearson Level Test C: 22 February 2023 (week 3-4)
