• Ang kurikulum ay isang daluyang magpapadali kung saan ang paaraIan ay may
responsibilidad sa paghahatid, pagsasalin at pagsasaayos ng mga karanasang
pampagkatuto. (Ragan at Shepherd).

Ang wikang pambansa ng Filipinas ay Filipino. Samantalang nililinang, ito ay dapat payabungin at
pagyamanin pa salig sa umiiral na mga wika ng Filipinas. – Saligang Batas ng 1985 Artikulo 14
Seksyon 6

EDUKASYON
• Ang sistema ng pag-iipon ng kaalaman tungkol sa iba’t ibang bagay na inaasahang
makakabuti sa pagkatao at kinabukasan ng indibiduwal.
• hindi lamang nagaganap sa loob ng paaralan.
• Ang mga karanasan sa buhay ay maaaring magsilbing edukasyon para sa atin.

"The professional teacher is the “licensed professional who possesses dignity and reputation with
high moral values as well as technical and professional competence… s/he adheres to observes, and
practices a set of ethical and moral principles, standards and values." - (Code of Ethics of
Professional Teachers, 1997).

KATANGIAN NG GURO
PROPESYUNAL NA KATANGIAN
1. May kontrol sa kaalaman batay sa pagtuturo at pagkatuto at nagagamit ang mga
karunungan upang maging gabay sa kanyang pagtuturo.
2. Nagtataglay ng pinakamahusay na kasanayan sa pagtuturo at may kakayahang gamitin ito
upang turuan ang mga bata sa mga silid-aralan at makipagtrabaho sa mga nakatatanda sa
loob ng paaralan.
3. Ang disposiyon at kakayahan ay nailalapit sa lahat ng aspeto ng kanyang trabaho sa
pamamaraang mapanimdim, makabagay, at pagreresolba sa problema.
4. Nakikita na ang pagkatuto ay habangbuhay na proseso at ang disposiyon at kakayahan ay
nagagamit upang mapabuti ang sariling kasanayan sa pagtuturo maging sa pagpapaunlad
ng paaralan.
5. May dedikasyon sa pagtuturo.

ANG MGA KATANGIAN NG EPEKTIBONG GURO


1. Walang tinatangi - pantay-pantay ang pagtrato sa kanyang mga mag-aaral.
2. May positibong ugali - naniniwala at nasisiyahan sa tagumpay ng kanyang mga mag-aaral.
3. May kahandaan - Gurong organisado at handang magturo.
4. May haplos-personal - gurong may ugnayan sa kanila, nagtatanong tungkol sa kanilang
nadarama at opinyon, tinutuklas ang kanilang interes at tinatanggap ang tunay nilang
pagkatao.
5. Masayahin - pagbibiro at pagpapatawa sa mga sitwasyong nahihirapan at napapahiya ang
mga mag-aaral.
6. Malikhain - gurong malikhain sa mga gawaing pangklasrum, lalo na sa oras na ginaganyak
sila para sa isasagawang aralin.
7. Marunong tumanggap ng kamalian - tinatanggap niya ang kanyang pagkakamali at buong
pagpapakumbabang humingi siya ng kapatawaran sa pagkakamaling kanyang nagawa.
8. Mapagpatawad - gurong marunong magpatawad sa kasalanang nagawa ng kanyang mga
mag-aaral.
9. May respeto - yaong nagpapakita ng sensitibiti sa nadarama ng kanyang mga mag-aaral.
10. May mataas na ekspektasyon - nagpapakita ng napakataas na pamantayan lalo't
hinahamon ang kanyang mga mag-aaral na gawin nang napakahusay ang kanyang ipinag-
uutos.
11. Mapagmahal - pagkilos upang malutas ang suliranin ng kanyang mag-aaral ay
naglalarawan ng pag-aalala at pagmamahal.
12. Ipinadaramang kabilang ang bawat mag-aaral - nakaiisip agad ng paraan upang
hindi magkaroon ng hinanakitan ang kanyang mga mag-aaral.

CODE OF ETHICS FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS


Article 11 of R.A. 7836 "Philippines Professionalization Act of 1994 and Paragraph (Sec. 6, P.D.
No.223)"

Preamble:
Teachers are duly licensed professionals who possesses dignity and reputation with high moral
values as well as technical and professional competence in the practice of their noble profession,
they strictly adhere to observe, and practice this set of ethical and moral principles, standards, and
values.

Article I: Scope and Limitation


Section 1: All teachers in schools in the Philippines shall offer quality education.
Section 2: All public and private school teachers and supervisory or administrative.

Article II: The Teacher and the State


Section 1: Obligation to transmit learners: national morality, promote national pride, cultivate love
of country and promote obedience to the laws of state.
Section 2: help carry out the declared policies and shall take an oath.
Section 3: Every teacher shall be physically, mentally, and morally fit.
Section 4: full commitment and devotion to duty.
Section 5: Shall not engage in promotion of any political religious. Shall not directly or indirectly
solicit, require, collect or receive any money.
Section 6: Shall vote and exercise constitutional rights and responsibility.
Section 7: Shall not use his/her position to influence others to follow any political course of action.
Section 8: Shall enjoy academic freedom (the right of the TC to conduct his/her own research and
investigation) [but if the findings is detrimental or have an adverse effect to the school or
community it should not be promoted and should be given to authorities for appropriate action.]

Article III: The teacher and the Community


Section 1: TC is a facilitator of learning (help them understand the lesson and make learning easier
as possible).
Section 2: shall provide leadership to participate in community. [moral, social educational
economic and civic betterment).
Section 3: Shall behave with honor and dignity at all times.
Section 4: Study and understand local customs and traditions in order to have sympathetic
attitude.
Section 5: Shall help the school keep the people in the community informed
[work,accomplishments, needs, and problems].
Section 7: Maintain pleasant personal and official relations with other professional and government
officials.
Section 8: freedom to attend church and worship but shall not use his position to influence others.

Article IV: A Teacher and the Profession


Section 1: Insure that teaching is the noblest profession. (Teaching as noble calling).
Section 2: Uphold the highest possible standard of quality education.
Section 3: participate in Continuing Professional Education (CPE) to improve his efficiency,
enhance prestige of the profession and strengthen his competence, virtues and productivity.
Section 4: if authorized, shall help to seek support from school but shall not make
misinterpretation through personal advertisement.
Section 5: Shall use teaching in a manner that makes it dignified.

Article V: The Teachers and the Profession


Section 1: Professional loyalty, mutual confidence, faith, self-sacrifice for the common good and full
cooperation with colleagues.
Section 2: shall give credit to the work of others.
Section 3: Before leaving his position, organize the records and data.
Section 4: inviolate all confidential information, shall not divulge (to make secret known) without
permission.
Section 5: Seek correctives for what he may appear to be an unprofessional and unethical conduct
of any associates. (only if there is absolute evidence)
Section 6: may submit to proper authorities any justifiable criticism against asscociate. (Writing
without violating any right of individual)
Section 7: May apply to any vacant position he's qualified (but respect the system of selection).
Article VI: The Teacher and the Higher Authorities in the Profession
Section 1: Understand and support the policies of school and administration without personal
feeling and opinion.
Section 2: Shall not make false accusations/charges against superiors. (If valid charges, present
oath to competent authority).
Section 3: transact all official business through channels except when special conditions. The
teacher shall appeal directly to the appropriate higher authority.
Section 4: has a right to seek redress against injustice to the administration and to extent possible,
shal raise grievances within acceptable democratic possesses. Shall avoid jeopardizing the interest
and the welfare of learners.
Section 5: has the right to invoke the principle that appointments promotions, and transfer of
teachers are made only on the basis of merit and interest.
Section 6: A teacher who accepts a position assuming all knowledge of employment term and
conditions.

ARTICLE VII : SCHOOL OFFICIALS TEACHERS AND OTHER PERSONNEL


Section 1: show professional courtesy, helpfulness and sympathy towards teachers and other
personnel.
Section 2: School officials, teachers, and other school personnel, it is their responsibility to
formulate policies or introduce important changes.
Section 3: School officials shall encourage and attend the professional growth of All teachers under
them.
Section 4: No school officials shall dismiss or recommend for dismissal a teacher or other
subordinates except for cause.
Section 5: public school teachers are employed in accordance with pertinent civil service rules, and
private school teachers are issued contracts specifying the terms and conditions of their work.
ARTICLE VIII : THE TEACHERS AND LEARNERS
Section 1: A teacher has a right and duty to determine the academic marks and the promotions of
learners in the subject or grades he handles.In case of any complaint, teachers’ concerned shall
immediately take appropriate actions, of serving due process.
Section 2: shall recognize that the interest and welfare of learners are of first and foremost
concerns.
Section 3: a teacher be prejudiced nor discriminated against by the learner.
Section 4: A teacher shall not accept favors or gifts from learners their parents or others (especially
if undeserved.)
Section 5: shall not accept, directly or indirectly, any remuneration from tutorials other.
Section 6: shall base the evaluation of the learner's work only in merit and quality of academic
performance.
Section 7: (mutual attraction between TC and learner) the teacher shall exercise utmost
professional discretion to avoid scandal gossip and preferential treatment of the learner.
Section 8: shall not inflict corporal punishment on offending learners nor make deductions from
their scholastic ratings as a punishment.
Section 9: ensure that conditions contribute to the maximum development of learners are adequate
and shall extend needed assistance.

ARTICLE IX : THE TEACHERS AND PARENTS


Section 1: shall establish and maintain cordial relations with parents.
Section 2: shall inform parents through proper authorities of the progress and deficiencies of
learner under him, in seeking parent's cooperation for the proper guidance and improvement of the
learners.
Section 3: shall hear parent's complaints with sympathy and understanding.

ARTICLE X : THE TEACHER AND BUSINESS


Section 1: has the right to engage, directly or indirectly, in legitimate income generation.
Section 2: shall maintain a good reputation with respect to the financial matters such as in the
settlement of his debts and loans.
Section 3: No teacher shall act, directly or indirectly as agent of, or be financially interested in any
commercial venture which furnish textbooks and other school commodities.

ARTICLE XI : THE TEACHER AS A PERSON


Section 1: the teacher has the highest obligation to live with dignity at all times whether in school,
in the home,or elsewhere.
Section 2: shall place premium upon self-discipline as the primary principles of personal behavior
in all relationships with others and in all situations.
Section 3: maintain at all times a dignified personality which could serve as a model worthy of
emulation by learners, peers and all others.
Section 4: shall always recognize the Almighty God as guide of his own destiny and of the destinies
of men and nations.

ARTICLE XII : DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS


Section 1: Any violation of any provisions of this code shall be sufficient ground for the imposition
against the erring teacher (revocation of his Certification of Registration and License as a
Professional Teacher, suspension from the practice of teaching profession.) Sec. 23, Article III or
R.A. No. 7836, and under Rule 31, Article VIII, of the Rules and Regulations Implementing R.A.
7836.

ARTICLE XIII : EFFECTIVITY


Section 1: This Code shall take effect upon approval by the Professional Regulation Commission
and after sixty (60) days following it's publication in the official Gazette or any newspaper of general
circulation, whichever is earlier.

1. Kognitibong Lakas > kagamitan na nagmumula sa isipan ng mag-aaral.
• Limang Pandamdam - sa pamamagitan nito nakatatanggap ang isang mag-aaral ng
kaalaman.
• Paningin kumakalap ng impormasyon pagdating sa biswal na aspekto.
• Pandinig impormasyong may kinalaman sa huni, tunog at iba pa.
• Panlasa kumuha ng kaalaman mula sa dila.
• Pang-amoy impormasyon mula sa olpaktoryong aspekto.
• Pandama Balat sa kahit anong bahagi ng katawan ang sumasalo ng
impormasyon.
• Memorya > ginagamit upang alalahanin ang mga impormasyong natanggap at
gamitin sa ibang aspekto.
- nagtitipon sa mga kaalamang nakalap mula sa limang pandamdam.
• Imahinasyon > bumubuo ng mga representasyon ng iba’t ibang bagay gamit ang mga
naipong kaalaman galing sa memorya.
• Talino > humuhulma sa mga ideyang nabuo gamit ang imahinasyon upang humusga
at mangatuwiran sa iba’t ibang sitwasyon.

2. Apetitibong Lakas > pakiramdam, kagustuhan at tukso.


• Damdamin - kumukontrol sa emosyon ng isang mag-aaral.
• Saya nakukuha niya ang kaniyang mga kagustuhan o kanais-nais ang
naganap.
• Lungkot emosyon kapag hindi nakukuha ang mga kagustuhan o hindi nais.
• Takot lumalabas kung may nasaksihan kagimbal-gimbal at hindi kanais-nais
na pangyayari at bagay.
• Galit Matinding emosyon kapag hindi nakuha ang kagustuhan o hindi nais.
• Gulat lumitaw sa mga pangyayaring hindi inaasahan.
• Kalooban nagpapagalaw sa konsensya.

1. Kasanayan/Skills. - kapasidad upang tumanggap, umunawa, matuto ng iba’t ibang
kaalaman.
• natutukoy kung ‘fast learner’, ‘average learner’ at ‘slow learner’ ang isang mag-aaral.
• maaari itong maging dahilan ng pagiging mahusay niyang mamamayan.

2. Kakayahan/ Ability - likas na talento o mga kayang gawin.


3. Kagustuhan - tungkol ito sa interes o gustong magawa, matamo at matutuhan ng isang
mag-aaral.
4. Pagpamilya at Pangkulturang Saligan > Tumutukoy ito sa impluwensya ng kapaligirang
ginagalawan.
5. Pag-iisip/ Attitude > pagtugon sa isang sitwasyon at pananaw sa mga bagay-bagay.

POSITIBONG PAG-IISIP
1. Pagkamausisa - Ang matanong na bata ay indikasyon ng kaniyang pagiging
matalino.
2. Pagkamalikhain - tungkol sa kahusayan sa pagkukulay, pagguhit, pagdidisenyo at
iba pa.
3. Patitiyaga - Hindi sumusuko.
4. Mapagkakatiwalaan - Tapat at responsable. Kahit mali ang kaniyang ginawa, aaminin
at aakuin niya ito.
