breakfast before heading to the library. The English translation is provided below each line.
(تلتقي بصديقتين لها في المقصف وتبتسم) صباح الخير! كيف حالكم يا بنات؟:الطالبة أمل
(Translation: Student Amal: (Meets her two friends at the canteen and smiles) Good morning! How
are you, girls?)
وأنت؟. الحمد هلل، (تبتسم وترد) صباح النور يا أمل! نحن بخير: ليلى،1 صديقة
(Translation: Friend 1, Leila: (Smiles and responds) Good morning, Amal! We're fine, thank God. And
you?)
(Translation: Student Amal: (Smiles) I'm fine too, thank you. I thought we could have breakfast
before going to the library. What do you think?)
أحتاج إلى شرب فنجان قهوة. (تفكر قليالً ثم توافق) أنا موافقة على ذلك: نور،2 صديقة
!قبل أن أبدأ في الدراسة
(Translation: Friend 2, Noor: (Thinks for a moment and agrees) I agree with that. I need to have a cup
of coffee before I start studying!)
هل هناك أي. وأنا مستعدة لتناول بعض الفاكهة المنعشة، (تضحك) حسنًا: ليلى،1 صديقة
مكان محدد تفضلونه؟
(Translation: Friend 1, Leila: (Laughs) Well, I'm ready to have some refreshing fruit. Is there any
specific place you prefer?)
(تفكر قليالً) ماذا عن مقهى الطالب؟ إنه قريب من المكتبة ويقدم وجبات:الطالبة أمل
صحية.
(Translation: Student Amal: (Thinks for a moment) What about the student café? It's close to the
library and offers healthy meals.)
لنذهب إلى هناك ونستمتع بوجبة اإلفطار معًا. صوت رائع، (توافق) نعم: نور،2 صديقة.
(Translation: Friend 2, Noor: (Agrees) Yes, sounds great. Let's go there and enjoy breakfast together.)
Scene 2:
Discussion room at the library. Three college students sitting around a table, conducting research
and discussing their Arabic group project.
(Translation: Nora: This Arabic assignment is exhausting us! We don't know where to start.)

(Translation: Fatima: True, but if we narrow down the main topic and gather information, we'll be
able to come up with a good action plan.)
(Translation: Lina: Do you both have any ideas for the topic? It should be engaging and relevant to
our academic subject.)
ما رأيكم في التركيز على األدب العربي الحديث؟ يمكننا تحليل قصص قصيرة أو:نورة
روايات معاصرة.
(Translation: Nora: How about focusing on modern Arabic literature? We can analyze short stories or
contemporary novels.)
ثم نجتمع لمناقشة، فكرة رائعة! يمكننا تقسيم المهمة بينا والعمل على فصول مختلفة:فاطمة
النتائج وتوحيد المقترحات.
(Translation: Fatima: That's a great idea! We can divide the task among us and work on different
chapters, then gather to discuss the findings and unify the proposals.)
(Translation: Lina: I agree. Let's continue researching and gathering relevant sources for our project.)
(Translation: Scene: The students continue their research, exchanging ideas and books in the
discussion room.)
Scene 3:
A library. Three female students are finishing their research for their Arabic assignment.
Amina: (Closing her book) البحث انتهينا من،( !الحمد هللThank God, we're done with the
research!)
Fatima: (Gathering her papers) السكن واآلن يجب أن نعود إلى،نعم. (Yes, now we should return
to the hostel.)
Leila: (Packing her bag) معًا هيا نذهب،حسنًا. (Alright, let's go together.)
[The three girls start walking toward their hostel.]
Fatima: (Panicking) حدث؟ ( !يا هللا! أمينة! ماذاOh my God! Amina! What happened?!)
Leila: (Frantically) سرعة !( !علينا أن نجد حالً سريعًاWe need to find a solution quickly! Hurry!)
Leila: (With concern) نستدعي اإلسعاف يجب أن،( !نبضها ضعيف جدًاHer pulse is very weak;
we must call for an ambulance!)
Fatima: (Dialing a number) اآلن سأتصل باإلسعاف،( !حسنًاAlright, I'll call an ambulance now!)
[While waiting for the ambulance, Leila remembers a first aid technique.]
Leila: (Thinking) أحاول يجب أن.( !هناك طريقة لمساعدتهاThere's a way to help her. I should
try!)
Amina: (Weakly) والمساعدة على اإلسعاف...أشكركما. (Thank you both... for the ambulance and
the help.)
Fatima: (Relieved) اآلن؟ ( الحمد هلل! كيف تشعرينThank God! How do you feel now?)
Amina: (Recovering) شكرا لكما على الرعاية
ً . ولكن أفضل اآلن،أشعر ببعض الضعف
