PROGRESS REPORT
SMART GAS MASK FOR MUNICIPAL CORP

Introduction:

Our project is a Gas mask that detects harmful gasses and turns off the valve so that
the wearer is not exposed to the toxic gasses. It also turns on the oxygen supply to
ensure the wearer's safety. We have developed a prototype and successfully tested it. In
this progress report, we will discuss the advancements we have made towards the final
product.

Accomplishments:

We have made significant progress towards the final product. We have upgraded the
sensors to industrial-grade high-quality sensors to ensure the most accurate reading of
toxic gasses. We have also experimented with different microcontrollers to calibrate
with the sensors. In addition, We are utilizing three Nvidia Jetson Nano boards for
machine learning, with one board as a server, one as a client, and one connected to the
mask to get real-time readings. We have also created various silicone moulds and
tested different designs to finalize the design of the mask.We have been calibrating all
these components together to ensure optimal performance. We have also conducted
extensive testing to ensure the mask's functionality and reliability, and we have
identified and resolved several software and hardware issues.

Challenges:

One of the challenges we have faced is finding the best components and sensors to
integrate into the mask. We have experimented with different sensors to find the most
accurate readings, which has taken longer than expected. We have also encountered
some issues with the software, which we have resolved through extensive testing and
debugging.

Timeline:

Our project timeline has been slightly delayed due to the challenges we have faced.
However, we are still on track to deliver the final product on time. We are currently
finalizing the design of the mask and testing different components to ensure the best
performance.

Budget:

We have been able to stay within our budget and have not encountered any significant
changes. However, we have had to allocate more resources towards

Utilization plan for the 2nd Installment :

We are pleased to inform you of the significant progress we have made in developing
the smart gas mask project thus far, thanks to the initial government funding provided.
The funds have been utilized effectively in engineering each component, conducting
extensive research on gas sensors, and developing our own PCB for the final product.
We have also made significant advancements in creating moldings for manufacturing
purposes. However, in order to proceed with the production phase and bring this
life-saving product to market, we kindly request additional funding from the government.
The requested funds will primarily be used for manufacturing the final product and its
components, including the integration of highly accurate gas sensors, the production of
customized PCBs, and the creation of moldings for mass production. With this funding,
we will be able to finalize the design, optimize the product's performance, and
commence the manufacturing process. We firmly believe that this investment will not
only contribute to the well-being of our citizens but also showcase our country's
commitment to technological innovation and public safety. We sincerely appreciate your
consideration and support in providing the necessary funds for this crucial stage of the
project.
