This study examines the correlation between active learning strategies and student motivation in religious studies subjects at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 9 Jember in the 2021-2022 academic year. The study used a quantitative method with 77 student participants selected through random sampling. Data collection involved questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The results showed a moderate positive correlation between individual active learning strategies and student motivation, and a low positive correlation between group active learning strategies and student motivation. Overall, the study found a correlation between active learning strategies and student motivation in religious studies.

This study aims to determine the Correlation of Active Learning
Strategies on Student Learning Motivation in Aqidah Akhlak Subjects. With this research, it is hoped that it can provide input in improving learning in schools, especially learning Aqidah Akhlak at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 9 Jember. This study uses quantitative methods. The population of this study was 77 students who were taken from students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 9 Jember. This means that the sampling technique used is random sampling. The data collection method used is a questionnaire, observation and documentation. The main problem of this research is the correlation between active learning strategies and students' learning motivation. Testing the instrument using validity and reliability tests. The correlation between Individual Active Learning Strategies and Group Active Learning Strategies on Students' Learning Motivation uses the Product Moment correlation test. The results of this study indicate that: 1) There is a correlation between individual active learning strategies and students' learning motivation with a correlation level of 0.511. 2) There is a correlation between group active learning strategies and student learning motivation with a correlation level of 0.253. 3) Thus, there is a correlation between active learning strategies and student motivation. The correlation level figure (0.511) shows that the correlation between Individual Active Learning Strategy and learning motivation is in the moderate correlation category because it is in a position between 0.400-0.700 which means moderate, while the correlation level (0.253) shows that the correlation of Group Active Learning Strategy with learning motivation in the category of low correlation because it is in a position between 0.200-0.400 which means a low correlation. However, the results of this study indicate that there is a correlation between active learning strategies and students' learning motivation.
