Passive solid waste disposal methods are simple to implement, therefore the most common.
Unfortunately, they do not solve the problem of reducing waste and protecting the environment. ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY
The use of active methods reduces waste and has several advantages, including environmental As you know, the main sources of environmental pollution are toxic
friendliness. emissions from the fiery combustion of waste and biological
ACTIVE METHODS ARE TECHNICALLY MORE COMPLEX AND DEVELOP IN TWO DIRECTIONS: decomposition of materials in burials.
 combustion, to obtain heat in order to convert it into the energy of heated water, steam and into In this concept, both variants of pollution are absent, since the

obtain useful vapor-gas, liquid and solid carbonaceous products (synthesis gas, pyrolysis oil, coke). The bulk of the carbon dioxide produced in the process sections is
111 liquefied for further use or sale.
As for the production of electricity and heating of reactors, the
combustion of purified synthesis gas produces small emissions: water
vapor + CO2, which in terms of quantity and hazard are not comparable
to the combustion of a similar amount of waste.
Thus, we can say that this concept is extremely safe for the environment.

FUNCTIONAL PLANNING SOLUTIONS

Architecturally, the enterprise is a complex of buildings and structures,
4 interconnected by transport and energy communications, in accordance
with the functional purpose.
3 The central object of the complex is a sorting station (2), occupying an
3 area of about 5 thousand m2, 12 m high, along the perimeter of which
there is a carriageway adjacent to other sections of the complex. On the
left side of the marshalling yard there is a gate for the entrance and
6 unloading of garbage trucks.
5 Opposite the gates of the sorting station, across the road, there is a
2 technological warehouse (3), with an area of 10-15 thousand m2,
intended for temporary storage of waste during a planned or emergency
stop of the complex.
Further along the course, there is a food waste processing site (4),
consisting of reactors for fermenting the substrate and a hard-surfaced
1 area for compost maturation. The site covers an area of about 30
8 7 thousand m2, it also houses the pumping house, the building for the
9 preparation of the substrate and tanks for storing and shipping liquid
fertilizers.
On the third side, the marshalling station, across the road, adjoins a
power unit and a thermolysis section (5) with a gas cleaning system and
PLACEMENT OF THE DIVISIONS synthesis gas receivers, which occupy an area of about 3 thousand m2.
Behind the thermolysis section, across the road, there is a coke

The UN estimates that around 15 million people work as informal waste collectors worldwide. In Brazil, almost a quarter of a million citizens live off the collection and resale of waste.
In Latin America, 20-30% of the waste received for recycling comes from the informal recycling sector.
Modern Latin American agglomerations are also a powerful source of atmospheric pollution, which occurs as a result of the work of public and personal transport, household and industrial equipment,
various life support systems and industrial enterprises. Together, all this creates billions of tons of solid and gaseous particles every year. The main pollutants of the atmosphere are carbon monoxide
and sulfur dioxide, which are formed primarily by burning mineral fuels, as well as oxides of sulfur, nitrogen, phosphorus, lead, mercury, aluminum and other metals. In turn, sulfur dioxide is the main
source of so-called acid rain, which reduces yields, destroys vegetation and life in river reservoirs, destroys buildings, and negatively affects people's health.
It remains to be hoped that the peoples of South America, who have relatively recently decided on their own civilizational path of development, will be able to find the will and clear intentions to
share the global solidarity and take part in the common cause of joint struggle against threats to all mankind and its natural habitat.

The World Development Report 2013: Jobs stresses the role of strong private sector led growth in creating jobs and outlines how jobs that do the most for development can spur a virtuous
cycle. The report finds that poverty falls as people work their way out of hardship and as jobs empower women to invest more in their children. Efficiency increases as workers get better at what
they do, as more productive jobs appear, and as less productive ones disappear. Societies flourish as jobs foster diversity and provide alternatives to conflict. habitat.
The report’s authors highlight how jobs with the greatest development payoffs are those that raise incomes, make cities function better, connect the economy to global markets, protect the
environment, and give people a stake in their societies.
“The youth challenge alone is staggering. More than 620 million young people are neither working nor studying. Just to keep employment rates constant, the
worldwide number of jobs will have to increase by around 600 million over a 15-year period”, says Martin Rama, WDR Director.

Policy priorities are different in agrarian societies and in urbanizing countries. Making smallholder farming more productive is key in the first case, while better infrastructure, connectivity,
housing, and city planning are vital in the second. Demography matters too. In Sub-Saharan Africa, 10 million youth enter the labor force every year, but in many middle-income countries the
population is aging and in some the labor force is shrinking. Skills and the removal of privilege in access to markets and jobs are needed to tackle youth unemployment.
The World Bank Group fosters job growth through its two main channels of support to the developing world -- the International Bank for Reconstruction and
Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA) -- as well as through the IFC and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency.
Assistance comes in the form of policy advice, support for private sector development plus loans and programs to advance urbanization, infrastructure and
human development (including social protection).
