SPS has acted as a social enterprise in its endeavours in Africa, A Shenzhen based

company that produces power supply and solution units that are targeted to the
needs of communities in poverty in Africa. Some of its products are: Energy Box
system that enables solar energy to be used for home appliances, Solar Lantern,
Candles Killer that is a lighting device and Solar Media that is a solar powered media
device.

As an NGO, SPS has dedicated itself to improving the livelihoods of people living in
Africa’s bottom of the pyramid (BOP) by providing access to reliable electricity
through power supply solutions that focus on solar energy. Accessibility of electricity
supply is hard to achieve since Africa does not have a good base for it. SPS achieves
that by offering its top-quality solutions to people’s of Africa with the most
affordable price in the industry.

Apart from making electricity more affordable, the founder’s motivation does not
purely come from realizing the untapped potential of a market. The main focus of
her endeavours is to provide the means for education to BOP, such as making lamps
more durable and accessible so that people could read.
Her solar media product is made specifically for people to be able to access
information easier whether that be medical, agricultural or educational information.
All her products are directed towards the very needs of the people and developed
accordingly.

These efforts show how Li cares more about people than making profit. She did not
just want to provide them with light for the sake of seeing but enabling people to
take control in improving their own living.
