PAGEANT MECHANICS and CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
The candidates will compete in the competition with 75% points/criteria for judging and the
other 25% points will be based on the tickets sold of every candidate with corresponding number of
points. Each candidate will be given a ticket for Charity Award. Each Ticket worth 50.00 for regular
and 150.00 for VIP. Candidates with highest ticket’s sold will be qualify/win the title as Miss
Charity. The candidates who got the highest sold of tickets will be given a 25% points as additional
points in the areas of competition/categories, the second highest candidates who sold the tickets will
be given 23% points, 21% for the third, 19% for the fourth and 17% for the rest of the candidates
(e.g. 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th)
After competing in the 75% criteria for judging, the official tabulator will compute all the
scores/points together with the points earned for Charity Tickets. The three (3) candidates (top 3)
who got the highest scores/points will proceed to the next level of competition – the final Question
and Answer. In this portion, scores will be back to zero.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
2. Fun Suit - This area of competition allows the candidates to show her fashion style like flip
dresses, tube tops, cargos and claw clips, etc. The candidates will compete of their own choice and
should be worn in good and formal taste. They are to be rated according to their Sense of confidence
(5%) Personality and stage presence (5%) Technique (walking and posture) (5%) with a total of 15%
of points.
3. Preliminary Interview – The candidates will pick a number with a corresponding picture flash on
the screen and the candidates must deliver/tell their answer confidently. Delivery must not exceed 5
minutes. They are to be rated according to their Wittiness/Substance (8%), Confidence in Delivery
(4%) and Audience Response (3%)
4. Talent Portion – Every candidate will be given a maximum of 3 minutes presentation of their
own choice piece/talents. They will be rated according to their skills/talent and mastery (6%),
Creativity and Uniqueness (6%) and Audience Response (3%) with a total of 15% of points.
5. Long Gown - This is the elegance and grace portion of the competition. Keep in mind that during
the long gown competition it is the wearer that is being judged and not the long gown you are
wearing. This is, however, a time for your stage presence to shine. Relax, be yourself and let your
true gorgeousness and beauty shine through. Let the judges and audience see your self-confidence
and poise and personality and let them shine beyond the footlights. They are to be rated according to
their Elegance (4%), Sense of confidence (3%), Appropriateness of attire (5%), Technique (walking
and posture) (3%) with 15% total points.
6. Final Question and Answer – This portion is the most important aspect of competition, simply
because it is the only chance the judges can measure the ability of the candidates to answer questions
in concise and precise manner. They want to get to know the real you! They are to be rated according
to their Wit/Substance (50%) confidence (10%), Appropriateness and Relevance (20%), Clarity
(20%) with a total of 100%.
