A typical description of a CPM metric fastening element is:

CPM Europe standards are:

• Standard hex bolts are class 8.8. When not specified: assume class 8.8
• High-grade hex bolts are class 10.9.
• Socket head screws are class 12.9. This is frequently not specified in the description.
• Class 302 or 304 are stainless steel unless otherwise specified. Class reference is not
applicable. See Tables 1 and 2 for tightening torques.
• DIN specifications are standard dimensions.
