Michele Mignone

Bass

Born in Bibbiena (Arezzo, Italy) on February 15, 1987

Height: 180 cm

Master's degree in Philosophy, history and communication


(110/110 with laude) with a specialization in bioethics at the
University of Siena.

From 2014 to 2019 he chaired the Casentinese Academy of Letters,


Arts, Sciences and Economics, a cultural institution founded in 1967

at the Castello del Landino AR, organizing conferences, training


courses, cultural initiatives of various kinds, concerts and exhibitions
with international researchers.

Since 2005 he has organized the “Quodlibet” Music and Arts Festival, in the province of Arezzo.

In 2006 he joined the Capriccio Armonico Ensemble with which he performed in numerous
concerts and historical shows, on the occasion of congresses, artistic events and re-enactments in
Palazzo Vecchio and Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence.

In May 2011 he was artistic director of the


"Casentino In Canto" Choral Competition
held at the Dovizi Theater in Bibbiena in
collaboration with the Apriti Casentino
association.

From 2014 to 2016 he studied opera singing


with the baritone Carlo Meliciani and with
the tenor Stefano Pisani.

From 2017 to today he has received the


teachings of the authentic Italian school of bel
canto, following the legacy of the great Magda
Olivero thanks to Elisabetta Emiliani, a profound
connoisseur of this tradition.

He is currently the bass soloist of the Ensemble Il


Groviglio, founded in paris in 2018, with which he
recently recorded, for the DA VINCI label, the
role of Senso in the oratorio for six solo voices and
continuous "Santa Editta" by Alessandro
Stradella. He therefore collaborates on projects
and recordings with the tenor Marco Angioloni
under the direction of Stephan Fuget.

Recently he sung as soloist with the Corale Gioachino Rossini in Modena for the Pavarotti
Birthday Anniversary, and in a special “Rossini and Verdi” Concert in Milan for the “Amici del
Loggione del Teatro Alla Scala” Association. He is going to debut the title role of “Le nozze di
Figaro” by W. A. Mozart in Florence in september 2023.
