C) Financial Ratio
1) Current ratio Liquid asset/Current liabilities: 6,300/500 x 100 = 12.6
The current ratio should be more than 1 in order to maintain
liquidity. Kalsom has a high liquidity position - has the ability
to pay short-term obligation

2) Debt service Take-home pay/debt service charges: 72,000/ (7,440 + 12,600) =

coverage ratio RM3.59
Debt service simply means debt payment which include the
payment of principal and interest. This means that Kalsom
earns RM3.59 in take home pay for each RM1 of required
debt repayment and interest. The higher the ratio, the better,
because it means that Kalsom has the ability to make
loan/debt payments
