The internship is a compulsory part of B.Com- Financial Analytics. This internship

should be undertaken for a period of minimum 4 weeks starting from July 3, 2022
onwards. The internship/project work carries 2 credits and the internship report should
be submitted at the beginning of the III semester. The internship report and viva will
be evaluated for 50 marks and carries 2 credits, which will be included in the third
semester marks card.

Duration of Internship: 4 weeks commencing from July 3rd 2023

Internship project guidelines

1. Students can choose any organization of their choice. The Organization chosen should be in existence for a
minimum of 4 years. The organization can be a Company, firm, LLP, Start-up (with financial track record)
2. The internship should be for a minimum period of 4 weeks with a successful completion of a project in the
organization.
3. Internship project carries 2 credits; the same will be evaluated based on the report and viva examination organized
by the Department.

4. Students can collect the internship request letter by addressing the mail to bcom.lavasa@christuniversity.in with
the Subject being “Request for letter from University for internship”. In the mail, please mention the place of
interning.
5. Internship report has to be submitted along with a certificate from the organization where the student is interning
in the second week of August 2022. The format and templates will be shared.

6. Students should report and update the internship progress details in the excel sheet shared by their respective
mentors.
7. The students are expected to engage in a mini project related to Marketing or Finance or Sales or Human
Resource or in any other functional area in the chosen Organization. Also please note that this constitutes the
most important part of the Internship. The area or project that will be undertaken has to be compulsorily
communicated to the concerned mentor.
8. It is compulsory to obtain a certificate of completion of internship from the chosen organization. This
certificate has to be compulsorily appended in the internship report. The type of task or project undertaken by the
student in the organization has to be clearly mentioned in the certificate of internship.
9. The internship undertaken only on the field (Offline)
10. The students have to compulsorily maintain a record of their daily progress about the project/task and
communicate the same with their mentors. The format for this will be shared by the faculty mentors.
11. The students have to also share the details like name of the Organization, task assigned to you as a part of
internship in the organization, name and contact details of the corporate mentor .

12. Those students owning or associated with family business are suggested not to seek internship opportunities
in the same organization. This is in order to encourage students to seek corporate exposure beyond familial
business as well as to ensure parity.
13. The report should cover the following:
Chapter 1: Introduction (Profile of the organization, Mission, objectives & strategies of the organization,
Organization design & structure, Policies & procedures followed, Products, competitors)
Chapter 2: Functional areas of the company (different departments/verticals)
Chapter 3: Organizational performance (Sales/service development, System of accounting followed,
significant factors for success, financial highlights, Performance appraisal system, Key result areas of the
organization.)
Chapter 4: Description of the project undertaken and learning experience (Photographs/supporting
documents pertaining to their activities / services rendered /Field visit photos, Learning
Experience/Outcomes)

▪ Number of copies (Will be intimated later)

* Initial pages will be circulated by faculty mentor in the month of August and submission dates will be
intimated later. The separate google classroom will be created and all the necessary documents will be
uploaded.
