Seven Days NSS Camp

06.01.2023
The day started with a joyful waking as team was in the Ajeetpur
mast village. A 7 day camp started on this day and with lot many
agendas during the week. Camps provide coordination, cooperation
and of course confidence too.
Camp started with some small inaugural, which was in the camp area.
Chief Guest Mr. Prakhar Chauhan (Gram Pradhan-Ajeetpur Mast) along
with Mr. Manoj Kumar Kapil lightened the lamp of knowledge with
Gayatri Mantra. Students sang Lakshya Geet of NSS.
Agenda I: to clean up the ghats around Daksha Temple. It was to
clean the ghats in a stipulated time. Our team was enthusiastic to
perform this activity as it created in them the sense of responsibility
for their area and nation.
Afternoon session began with Mantras recited by our Moral education
teacher Mrs Anita Snatika. She gave some tips to the students to be a
good human being and to give their best at any circumstance.
Students also prepared fruit chaat which was distributed among all
the units.

Students were on the move to aware the students of Ajeetpur village
on the topic-“Eat well live well” All the NSS students prepared some
healthy snacks and showed the students their values also.
Students recited poetry and a Nukkad Natak was staged to show the
importance of healthy eating habits. In the afternoon, Mrs. Anita
Bhandari prompted the students to take initiatives to keep
themselves aware about the right eating habits. She also encouraged
the students to have fruits and
green vegetables so that they’ll be healthy & fit.
Students prepared Bhel puri and everyone appreciated.

08.01.2023
A new day again with lots of responsibilities on the shoulders
of our NSS Team. It was a plantation drive. Our team took
sapling of different medicinal plants and planted in the
primary school of Ajeetpur Mast. Students held a Quiz to
aware the small children of our nation, so that they can come
forward to save environment. Afternoon session was of Mr.
Kamal Pant who advised the students to make their
environment safe & clean. He also advocated the exercises to
be performed by the students everyday, so that they may
become fit & healthy.

The third day was another day full of excitement for our NSS
team. It was a rally day with NGO, Aviral team. Our team
started their journey from the village and covered some areas
of Haridwar too. Students performed Nukkad Natak during the
rally. Aviral team took them to different areas where they all
cleaned the area. It was a wonderful experience for the NSS
volunteers. Some of the students also shared their
experiences. In the afternoon session, Principal Mr. Manoj
Kumar Kapil appreciated the efforts of NSS team and
suggested that they should keep their school areas clean with
the same zeal.

“पानी की बचत दे गी हमें राहत”
As water is a precious element for life, students moved to
different areas of the village and saw the drinking water
conditions. Volunteers met the Pradhan and urged him to
provide safe drinking water areas.

This effect of the unit was fruitful when all schools were given
the facility of safe drinking water. In the afternoon session, Mrs.
Poonam Gakkhar, Programme officer addressed the students to
come forward for maintaining the cleanliness and to make the
others aware for the same. Everyone should see around
themselves for the areas which need cleanliness and sanitation.
Students prepared sandwiches and offered some to everyone.
11.01.2023
On the 6th day of the camp, NSS volunteers were to make
Ajeetpur Mast villagers aware about the ill effects of Alcohol. As
per the past practices, our team under the banner of “Nasha
Mukt Uttarakhand Sanskaar Yukt Uttarakhand” filled the shapath
patras. All the villagers shared their experiences, how NSS
volunteers motivated them last year & they left alcohol. It was a
very good gesture. The volunteers also performed a dance
depicting the bad effects of alcohol. In the afternoon session,
Mrs. Pratima Saxena addressed the students & took the initiative
to enlighten them about Nasha Mukt Bharat. Students also made
rangoli.
12.01.2023
On the 7th day NSS volunteers visited Kanwari Temple of Ajeetpur
mast. They all were elated to see the temple and they started
Swacchta Abhiyan.
Everyone was on the track of cleanliness, they all started a
cleanliness drive to prove the saying “Cleanliness is near to
Godliness”. Priests of the temple also helped them for this effort.
In afternoon, NSS Distt officer Mr. S.P Singh addressed the
students that they proved the motto of “Not me but you”.
Mr Manoj Kapil addressed the students and suggested them to
keep their surroundings clean. In the end, Mrs. Poonam Gakkhar,
Programme officer thanked all for their valuable help.

Parakram Diwas Celebration


Classes: II to VI Date: 23.01.2023
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti is a national event
celebrated in India as Paraakram Diwas on January 23rd to
mark the birth of prominent Indian freedom fighter Netaji
Subhash Chandra Bose.
For the first time Netaji's Jayanti was celebrated as Paraakram
Divas in 2021 on the occasion of his 124th birth anniversary.
This year Nation celebrates 126 birth anniversary of Netaji. To
pay homage to Netaji and recall his unparalled contribution to
Indian history Social Science department of our school initiated
and celebrated Paraakram Diwas by organising different
activities like poster making, slogan writing, slogan reciting and
poem recitation in which students of classes 2nd to 6th
participated with great enthusiasm.

National Voter's Day


(Awareness Campaign)
Date: 25.01.2023
As per the instructions of local administration and CBSE, the 13th
National Voter's Day of India was celebrated on 25.01.2023 with
the theme being " Nothing like voting, I vote for sure". On this
occasion in DAV Jagjeetpur, the school children organized a
program to create awareness about voting and its importance.
Mr Manoj Kumar Kapil, the Teacher in Charge, administered the
oath to commemorate National Voters' Day at DAV School.
The Election Commission of India was formed on 25 January
1950. National Voters' Day was first celebrated on 25 January
2011 with the permission of the then President Smt. Pratibha Patil.
The program was started by the Election Commission's song
"Main Bharat Hoon". A presentation was made by the students of
class 9th to spread voter's day and voting awareness. The
program concluded with words of wisdom by Teacher In-Charge
Mr. Manoj Kumar Kapil, explaining the importance of voting in
democracy.
In the program, the stage was conducted by class 11th students
Vanshika, Aastha, Rishit Rajput and Anirudh Patwal.Slogan
writing activity was organized for classes 5,6,7. A song was
presented by students of class 5 to aware the citizens to cast their
vote. Manya, Gauri, Vedanta, Devashish, Niharika, Shraddha,
Sonal, Naitik, Hemant and Vinayak from class 9th gave the
presentation.

Let salute the Nation on ‘REPUBLIC DAY’
Having the same spirit of patriotism, DAV Centenary Public School,
Hardwar celebrated this 74th Republic Day on January 26th,2023 in
the school premises.
The program started at 9:00 a.m. with great enthusiasm and patriotic
fervour. The flag raising ceremony was conducted by honorable
Teacher In Charge Mr. Manoj Kumar Kapil, respected Supervisory
Heads Ms. Kusum Bala Tyagi and Ms. Hemlata Pandey with the
National Anthem. It was followed by a motivational patriotic speech of
M.K. Kapil Sir, the Teacher-In-Charge.
The school campus was decorated with flags, banners and posters,
creating a festive ambience. The whole program was prepared under
the able guidance of Narmada House In-Charge, Ms. Sonia Tyagi
and Krishna House In-Charge, Ms. Rashmi Baloni as it was designed
by the collaborative efforts of both the Houses. Different activities
were prepared to make the event more engaging and pleasurable.
The students brought the stage alive with their passion and love of
the motherland through their speeches, group song and recitation of
poems. Presentation of students in the skit named ‘Gawahi Desh
Bhakti Ki’ attracted the whole ambience.
Efforts of teachers and students were also exhibited with the release
of ‘Commerce Digest’ on this auspicious occasion. A mesmerizing
and heart touching group dance was presented by our lovely kids.

It was an outstanding performance that made audience engaged.
The program ended with Vote of Thanks to acknowledge the
contribution of those who really worked hard for making this Republic
Day Celebration successful. The event was celebrated with zeal and
spirit, pomp and show. Overall, it was a memorable day and
everyone valued the Indian culture.

Pariksha Pe Charcha

Pariksha Pe Charcha-2023 is a part of the larger movement ‘Exam
Warriors’ led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. It has
become an annual event held every year since 2018.
In the 6th edition of PPC, Modi ji interacted with students, teachers
& parents at 11:00 a.m. on 27th January 2023 at Talkatora Stadium
in New Delhi.
In DAV Centenary Public School, Jagjeetpur, Hardwar 1031
students, teachers along with the guests invited for the program
witnessed the live telecast of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’.
Shri Amit Chauhan, Vice President-District Panchayat, Shri
Sandeep Goel, BJP Dist. President, Dr. Dinesh Singh, Founder
Neelkanth Netralaya, Shri Luv Sharma, BJP Dist. Vice President
were the distinguished guests on this occasion. Our media person,
Shri Naveen Chauhan also joined the program. After the floral
welcome all the dignitaries also witnessed the PPC in our school.
During this program Prime Minster Sh. Modi ji shared valuable tips
with students to overcome exam stress and answered their
questions ranging from family pressure, stress management, time
management, prevention of unfair means, how to face challenges
of criticism, how to overcome social media distractions, how to
create disciplined environment in school and about the behavior of
students in society.
In inspirational insights Prime Minister Modi ji highlighted that
zenith of success and prosperity lies in remaining energetic. He
motivated the students that exams should become a festival for
celebrating our life and enthusiasm can lead to success.

Modi ji emphasized that there is a very thin line between criticism and
obstruction. Parents must criticize their children in a constructive
positive way.
He also highlighted to follow time management and specially observe
a mother’s time management as it would help them in their future
endeavors.
PM guided the students not to believe in short cuts but should work
hard & believe in them. During his address, he advised teachers to
encourage students to ask questions and provide them friendly
environment.
According to him, the best way to save ourselves from social media
distractions is to make a No Technology Zone at home where
gadgets must not be allowed and once a week digital fasting should
be adopted.
He enlightened everyone about the significance of being multi lingual
as a communication skill, every language is a window to thousands
of years of experience & wisdom, like Tamil is the world’s oldest
language and every Indian should be proud of its rich cultural
heritage.
He concluded by motivating the students to learn by exploring new
arenas and be allowed to expand their horizon.
Prime Minister ji maintained an interactive, jovial and conversational
tone throughout the interaction.
PPC program was anchored by Mrs. Pratibha Sharma. Teacher
Incharge Mr. Manoj Kumar Kapil highlighted the importance of PPC
as it is a unique program initiated by our PM Shri Modi ji, in his
concluding words.

डीएवी सेंटेनरी पब्लिक स्कूि जगजीतपुर हररद्वार के तीरं दाजों ने
राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर बटोरी अभूतपूवव प्रशंसा।मध्यप्रदे श के भोपाि में
आयोब्जत जनू नयर सबजनू नयर नेशनि तीरं दाजी प्रनतयोगगता में डीएवी
के छात्र-छात्राओं ने बेहतरीन प्रदशवन करते हुए 9 स्वर्व पदक तथा 4
रजत पदक सहहत कुि 13 पदक जीतकर राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर दस ू रा
स्थान प्राप्त ककया। डीएवी ववद्यािय के कायववाहक प्रधानाचायव श्री
मनोज कुमार कवपि ने बताया कक नेशनि तीरं दाजी प्रनतयोगगता में
अंडर 10 बािक वगव में श्िोक ने 01 स्वर्व पदक एवम ् 01 रजत
पदक तथा यथाथव ने 02 रजत पदक प्राप्त ककए। वहीं अंडर 14 वगव
में बालिका वगव में वैष्ट्र्वी ने 02 स्वर्व पदक तथा आरुवि ने रजत
पदक प्राप्त ककए। अंडर 17 बालिका वगव में कुo वप्रया एवम ् कुo
संघलमत्रा ने 02-02 स्वर्व पदक प्राप्त ककए और अंडर 19 बािक वगव
में आहदत्य(पव ू व छात्र 2021 बैच) ने 02 स्वर्व पदक प्राप्त ककए। इस
प्रकार से छात्र-छात्राओं ने 09 स्वर्व पदक एवं 04 रजत पदक
जीतकर इस राष्ट्रीय स्तर की प्रनतयोगगता में दस ू रा स्थान प्राप्त कर
अपने ववद्यािय तथा अपने प्रदे श उत्तराखंड का नाम रोशन ककया।

हदनांक 11 फरवरी 2023 को डीएवी सेंटेनरी पब्लिक स्कूि,
जगजीतपुर, हररद्वार में कक्षा 10 और 12 के ववद्यागथवयों
को परीक्षा से पूवव आशीवावद दे ने की परं परा का ननववहन
करते हुए आशीवावद समारोह आयोब्जत ककया गया। इस विव
इस समारोह में भारत के पूवव लशक्षा मंत्री तथा उत्तराखण्ड के
पूवव मुख्यमंत्री श्री रमेश पोखररयाि ‘ननशंक’ जी हमारे
ववद्यागथवयों को अपना आशीवावद दे ने के लिए ववद्यािय में
पधारे । ननशंक जी, जो स्वयं एक लशक्षक से लशक्षा मंत्री
तक का सफर तय कर चक ु े हैं, ने पववत्र यज्ञ कुण्ड में
वैहदक मंत्र उच्चारर् के साथ आहूनतयााँ दी। ववद्यािय के
कायववाहक प्रधानाचायव श्री मनोज कुमार कवपि जी ने अपने
स्वागत सम्बोधन में कहा कक मैं अपने आप को
सौभाग्यशािी महसूस कर रहा हूं कक आज के इस प्रनतब्ष्ट्ित
पि में मझ ु े परम आदरर्ीय व समाज के िोकवप्रय
माननीय पूवव मुख्यमंत्री उत्तराखंड, पूवव केंद्रीय लशक्षा मंत्री,
भारत सरकार एवं सांसद हररद्वार श्रीमान रमेश पोखररयाि
ननशंक जी को संबोगधत करने का अवसर लमिा।
माननीय ननशंक जी राजनीनत से इतर कवव और िेखक के
रूप में भी प्रख्यात है । यह कायवक्रम बहुत ही महत्वपूर्व
एवं साथवक है , ब्जसमें हमारे बच्चों को बोडव परीक्षा से पूवव
पथपद्रशवक श्री ननशंक जी से आशीवावद एवं मागवदशवन के
साथ-साथ उपब्स्थत सभी जनों का आशीवावद भी लमि रहा
है ।
ननशंक जी एक दे शभक्त होने के साथ-साथ एक अच्छे
लशक्षक पत्रकार और राष्ट्रवादी कवव के रूप में प्रलसद्ध है ।

अपने जीवन काि में इन्होंने कई साहहत्य, कववताएं, उपन्यास, कहानी,
िघुकथा बाि साहहत्य तथा व्यब्क्तत्व ववकास से जुड़ी कई पुस्तकें
लिखी है । इनका जीवन एक आदशव जीवन है ।
श्री रमेश पोखररयाि जी ने सभी ववद्यागथवयों को आशीवावद हदया, बोडव
परीक्षा में उत्तम प्रदशवन के लिए शुभकामनाएं दे ते हुए ववद्यागथवयों के
प्रश्नों का समाधान ककया और स्वामी वववेकानन्द जी के आदशों पर
चिने की प्रेरर्ा दे ते हुए कहा तब तक मत सो जब तक सपने पूरे
नहीं होते। परीक्षा डरने का नहीं बब्कक कमव करने का वविय है जीवन
एक परीक्षा है ब्जस में सफिता के लिए प्रयास करना हमारा कतवव्य
है । ववद्यागथवयों के प्रश्नों के उत्तर दे ते हुए उन्होने कहा कक आप जीवन
में सभी की अपेक्षाओं पर खरे नहीं उतर सकते क्योंकक आपसे सबकी
अपेक्षाएं अिग-अिग होंगी। आप केवि अपना उत्तम दे ने का प्रयास
कीब्जए। सफिता पाने के लिए आपको सतत ् प्रयास करने होंगे। बच्चों
ने पूछा कक हम बोडव परीक्षा के साथ-साथ प्रनतयोगी परीक्षाओं के लिए
कैसे तैयारी करें । इसके उत्तर में उन्होनें कहा कक आप जो पढें पूर्व रूप
से पढें आधा-अधरू ा पढ कर न छोड़ें, अधूरा ज्ञान अज्ञानी होने से
अगधक हाननकारक है । यहद ककसी वविय में समस्या है तो उसके लिए
अपने अध्यापकों की सहायता िें। बच्चों के यह पूछने पर कक हमें
अपनी डडग्री को महत्व दे ना चाहहए अथवा कौशि को, इसके जवाब में
उन्होने कहा कक यहद हमें आत्मननभवर भारत बनाना है तो इसके लिए
हमें अपने कौशि को ननखार कर उसका उपयोग भारतीय अथवव्यवस्था
को सशक्त बनाने में करना चाहहए। इसी प्रकार माननीय ननशंक जी ने
ववद्यागथवयों के प्रश्नांेे को धैयप व ूवक
व सुना और बड़ी ही कुशिता से
उनकी ब्जज्ञासा को शांत ककया।
प्रधानाचायव श्री मनोज कवपि जी ने सम्माननीय अनतगथयों का
धन्यवाद करते हुए कहा कक ववद्यािय के लिए सौभाग्य का अवसर है
कक हम सभी को महान हब्स्तयों को साननध्य प्राप्त हुआ। इस लशक्षा
मंहदर में स्वयं लशक्षा मंत्री रहे श्री रमेश पोखररयाि जी का ववद्यागथवयों
को आशीवावद प्राप्त हुआ है ।
कायवक्रम के उपरान्त ववद्यागथवयों को उनके प्रवेश पत्र ववतररत ककए
गए। प्रसाद ववतरर् के साथ कायवक्रम का समापन हुआ।

VIDYARTHI VIGYAN MANTHAN

VVM is a national program to educate & popularize Science


among students.State Level mega camp of VVM was organized
at DAV Public School, Dehradun. Assembly speaker, Mrs. Ritu
Khanduri Bhushan was the chief guest.At the state level 127
participants from different schools of Uttarakhand participated in
VVM. Three students of our school, Drishti Saluja of VII, Aviral
Tyagi of VI and Ananye Tyagi of VIII stood 1st, 2nd & 3rd

were selected. Drishti Saluja and Aviral Tyagi of our school will be
going to the National Level in May 2023 at Thiruvanthapuram,
