    Baking and pastry arts is a program to prepare students for a career in baking, you
    learn things like how to make bread products, cakes and decoration, icing and
    finishing, kitchen skills and personal skills.
    Costs and admission requirements
    The original cost is 7689 dollars without the CTC program. With it you only pay for
    your kits. (for baking and pastry arts you pay for the baking kit and books) with it its
    around 400$. The VIU admission requirements are the general trades admission
    requirements, C+ minimum in math (foundations math or pre-calculus) and C+
    minimum in english grade 12 and a copy of the food safe level 1 certificate.
    Job prospects and potential salaries
    There is 2850 job openings for being a baker in British columbia, the annual salary is
    31,701 dollars a year, the high provincial hourly rate per hour is 27 per hour,lowest
    is 15.20 and medium wage is 15.20$
