"Brian Longmore makes me think of Isaac Newton
29 May 2023 because he is also super smart."
Rogan Saint

What goes up
must come down!
These are the famous words spoken by Sir Isaac Newton. The grade two's had the amazing
opportunity to do a fun science project about him, and they had five to six days to complete it.
We interviewed four of Mrs. B's pupils, Aaron, Rogan, Marcus, and Angela, to see how the
project went. They all thought the project was fun and interesting but let's see what they had to
say for themselves.

For the project Angela printed pictures and did some writing on an A4 page at home. It took
about 2 1/2 hours for Angela to complete the project on Isaac Newton.

Aaron Saint is an 8 year old, grade 2 student. He also has a twin brother named Rogan in his
class. He was very excited about the project and enjoyed learning something new. He learnt
that Isaac Newton invented the Newton meter. If Aaron had a chance, he would like to go back
in time so he could ask Mr Newton a lot of questions. He would also like to take his best friend
Angela with him.

Rogan had to do a lot of writing for his poster, which he was very nervous about. If he had a
chance to go back in time to meet Isaac Newton he would rather run away because he thinks
Isaac was quite boring because he just wanted to invent new things all the time.

Marcus told us that, for his project, he had to include the laws of physics. Isaac Newton invented
these laws. When Marcus was finished with the project, he said that he really enjoyed learning
all about Isaac Newton and all the things he invented. We strongly agree with that.

We look forward to some more exciting things coming soon from the other grades!
Remember to stay positive and enthusiastic about learning new things. You never know where
it might take you one day!

This week's medical marvel

Crazy Socks 4 Docs
Did you know that your tongue has a
unique feature which differs from 2 June 2023
individual to individual and even
between identical twins. The tongue,
like any other organ has its share of
skeletal muscles, blood vessels, and
nerve supply. The dorsal surface of the
tongue is unique to each person. Much
like your fingerprint.

Scripture of the week:

Galatians 2:20
"Do not conform to the pattern of this
world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind. Then you
will be able to test and approve what
God's will is - His good, pleasing and
perfect will."

SPORT
Please continue to come to the netball and soccer training sessions.
Even though we are done with our winter sport tournaments.
It is still vital that you attend.

This week we had the pleasure of interviewing a grade 4 learner who is

very sporty and has a passion for netball. Her name is Landile Shabane.

She plays u/11 netball and started at the age of 9. She really loves it and
will never give it up. She has won some games before and hopes to win
more. She has never travelled outside of KZN for sport and hopes she can
one day go all the way to the KZNCSSA Nationals. Landile plays C (centre)
and besides that she also likes GD (goal defence). Her favourite sport,
other than netball, is soccer.
We hope Landile will always have a passion for sport.
