The freedom we have today is like a gift from those who sacrificed their lives, the heroes who battled to
completely loosen the desperate grasp of these avaricious invaders, whose intention was to desecrate the
Filipinos’ liberty and rights, moreover, the riches of our lands.
As today's generation is blessed with independence, we are to preserve it. Through commemorating our
freedom, loving and respecting, helping our people, and safeguarding the beauty of our lands, we can showcase
nationalism, patriotism, and civic consciousness.

Nationalism, Patriotism, and Civic Awareness

In the Municipality of Lemery, our government officials and the authorities showcase these values
through various programs and community activities. The Municipal Government of Lemery continues to
implement programs and develop people into willing servants of our beloved country.
FLAG RAISING CEREMONY
The simplest yet effective way to convey our love and respect for our country.
Every first day of the week, the Municipality of Lemery holds a flag-raising ceremony which is to be led
by the municipal mayor, Mayor Ian Alilio, or other municipal organization leaders, employees, and staff. With
this, we can commemorate our freedom and show our love and respect for the country.
SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL SPORTS TEAMS
In this recent Regional Athletic Association Meet 2023, many of our Lemereño Athletes showcased
their athletic abilities and skills in various sports and won medals of golds, silvers, and bronzes. Others earned
places in their events. The Municipal Government of Lemery gave our student-athletes and their coaches
recognition for their excellence and hard work in bringing home the bacon.
Supporting our national athletes—or even the locals—is a form of nationalism and the equivalent of
being a proud Filipino. Other than that, we are encouraging these athletes to pursue excellence to be the best
athletes to be known across the world.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS/ACTIVITIES
Clean Up Operation
A cleanup operation led by Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Sweepers and
Foremen.
 The program’s purpose is to maintain the cleanliness of our surroundings and reduce the litter that could
harm people as well as the environment.
Malasakit Program “Libreng Pagkain Para sa Bantay ng nga Pasyenteng Lemereño”
Dispensation of free meals for the patients’ visitors in Batangas Provincial Hospital Lemery (or what we
call Emergency) with the help of IANgat. This program aims to provide the patients’ visitors with three meals a
day in the said hospital to help our fellow Lemereños, moreover, help them lessen their expenses in a simple
way.
