MULTIMEDIA: IMAGE and GRAPHICS
MIDTERM

INSTRUCTION:
1. Choose a topic you want to create an infographic about. It can be anything from a hobby or interest
to a social issue or current event.
2. Research your topic and gather data and information to include in your infographic. This can include
statistics, facts, and other relevant information.
3. Determine the main message or takeaway you want your audience to get from your infographic.
This will help you focus your design and ensure that your infographic is effective in communicating
your message.
4. Sketch out a rough design for your infographic. Think about the layout, color scheme, and
typography you want to use.
5. Use a tool like Canva or Piktochart to create your infographic. These tools have pre-made templates
and graphics that you can use to make your infographic look professional and visually appealing.
6. Include your data and information in your infographic in a clear and concise way. Use graphs, charts,
and other visual aids to make your data easy to understand.
7. Make sure your infographic is easy to read and visually appealing. Use colors and typography that
complement each other and make your text easy to read.
8. Share your infographic on social media or your website to educate others about your topic and raise
awareness.

GRADING ASSESSMENT:
1. Topic Selection (10 points): Did the student choose a relevant and interesting topic for their
infographic?
2. Research (20 points): Did the student gather accurate and relevant data and information for their
infographic?
3. Message/Goal (20 points): Did the student clearly communicate their message or goal for the
infographic and did it align with the data and information presented?
4. Design/Layout (20 points): Did the student use a visually appealing design and layout for their
infographic, with appropriate use of color and typography?
5. Data Visualization (20 points): Did the student use effective data visualization techniques (graphs,
charts, etc.) to present their data and information in a clear and easy-to-understand way?
6. Overall Quality (10 points): Was the infographic of high quality, with no spelling or grammar errors,
and was it shared effectively on social media or the student's website?

How to submit?

 Send your work on our google classroom with the following condition:
o Rename the image file before uploading with the following format:
[MLA2_surname_firstname_course_yr_and_section]
Example: MLA2_Galos_Gilbert_BSBA_HRDM_1-3
