I think that gender is not exclusive to only one. Although we were born having one
gender, as it was based on out birth genitals and we don’t really have a choice, considering
yourself as both a man and a woman without restricting in expressing yourself in just one
gender is something to be proud of. There are instances where one couldn’t express their
gender well because of society’s pressure and judgement, however not caring about what
others may say is a privilege. It liberates a person from a lifelong restriction of what they could
still do if only they weren’t restricted to only one gender.

I only know a little about drag performance. However, based on what I know about it, it is
usually performed by gay men. They dress up and puts on makeup that will make them look
like a female, a male and other genders but in a more exaggerated way. I once saw in a post
in Facebook arguing that a drag show is a performance venue to address social issues
against women, men and the members of Lgbtq+. But it doesn’t stop there as this drag
performance may also address politics in a form of, maybe, a comedic performance, ridiculing
a government.
I think it challenges the concept of “only this gender (men/women) can do this.” Although
most of the time, drag performances are comedic because it’s mainly done for entertainment,
I think that these past years, these performances develop themes that spark a realization or
disappointment to its viewers. It now start to prove something like what the performer’s stand
about a social issue that may not be very common before.
