Force
It is the energy that take to do work.
What makes something move or stop.
What is motion?
Motion
It is the change in the position of an object.
Four fundamental forces
Gravity
- A fundamental interaction which
causes mutual attraction between all
things with mass or energy.
Electromagnetism
- An interaction that occurs between
particles with electric charge via
electromagnetic fields.
Weak Interaction
- It is the mechanism of interaction
between subatomic particles that is
responsible for the radioactive decay
of atoms
Strong interaction
- A fundamental interaction that
confines quarks into proton, neutron,
and other hadron particles.
Types of Forces
Weight
- The force of gravity between Earth
and an object at or near its surface. It
is the force acting on the object due to
gravity.
Tension
- The pulling force exerted between two
objects.
- Can be described as the action-
reaction pair of forces acting at each
end of said elements.
Spring
- The force required or exerted to
compress or stretch a spring upon any
object that is attached to it.
Normal
- The contact force exerted by a surface
of an object.
- Its direction is always perpendicular
and away from the surface.
Friction
- The contact force between two solid
objects that is parallel to their
surfaces.
- Static and kinetic are the two types of
friction.
Electric Force
- The repulsive or attractive interaction
between any two charged bodies.
Magnetic Force
- The attraction or repulsion that arises
between electrically charged particles
because of their motion.
Applied Force
- The force that is applied to an object
by a person or another object.
Net force
Mass
A quantitative measure of inertia, a
fundamental property of all matter.
