English Formative Test
Read the text about Michael.
Expo 98 was in Lisbon. There were many big pavilions along Tejo
river banks where you could find information about the oceans and their
protection. There were millions of visitors. That part of Lisbon was
recovered and now you can go there to visit a big “Oceanarium” where
you can see a lot of fishes, to attend lots of cultural and economic
events or just to walk along the gardens and river banks.
Expo 2005 was in Aichi, Japan. There were a lot of pavilions from many
countries. Robots co‐existed side by side with humans. Many pavilions were there
to show new materials and a different architecture, where thousands of people
were faced with important information, just like in Lisbon. The inspiration for
EXPO 2005 was the marvellous mechanism of nature and the power of life!
