Lesson Title: Introduction to the English Alphabet

Objectives:
 To introduce students to the English alphabet

 To enable students to recognize and name the letters of the English alphabet

 To develop students' fine motor skills through writing practice

Materials:
 Chart with the English alphabet

 Whiteboard and markers

 Pencils and crayons

 Worksheets with letter tracing exercises

Procedure:
Introduction (5 minutes):
 Greet the students and introduce the topic of the lesson.

 Show the chart with the English alphabet and ask if anyone knows what it is.

 Explain that the alphabet is a set of letters that are used to write words in English.

Letter Recognition (10 minutes):


 Write the letter "A" on the whiteboard and ask the students to identify it.

 Have the students repeat the name of the letter after you.

 Repeat this process for the letters "B" and "C".

 Encourage students to come to the board and write the letters they know.

Letter Formation (15 minutes):


 Give each student a worksheet with letter tracing exercises.

 Demonstrate how to trace the letters and guide the students through the exercise.

 Encourage students to practice writing the letters independently.

 Circulate around the classroom to offer assistance and feedback.

Review (5 minutes):
 Call out the names of random letters and have the students identify them.

 Ask the students to name any words they know that begin with the letters "A", "B", and "C".

5. Closure (5 minutes):
 Review what was covered in the lesson and emphasize the importance of learning the English
alphabet.

 Assign homework to practice writing the letters at home.

Assessment:
 Observe students during the lesson to assess their understanding and participation.

 Review the worksheets completed by students to evaluate their letter tracing skills.

 Ask students to identify and name letters at the end of the lesson as a formative assessment.
